Well I haven't even started yet. I hope we get some more competition this time around.

Just a reminder that the deadline is Monday night.

Since I'll be making this a long vacation weekend, I'll try to get some drives in tonight, and that might be it. Maybe I'll leave work a little earl... I mean, maybe that breakfast burrito is starting to make me ill!.

Well, once again. EVERYONE DRIVE. This isn't going to be any fun if we go 2 up only.

icandigit, it's alot of fun with more people. But since there is just you and I lets try this. I'll run the same cars as your entires. Maybe that will tighten the compatetion. So if you're game post the tunning specs and let's get it on! I'm running the PS1 system so I'll try my best to keep up:lol:

I'll run the same cars/HP as before. That'll save me time trying to find 'better' cars. The Venturi might prove a little unruley out there.

Settings we'll leave up in the air. I usually tweak it between every run anyways, and there's not much to the R390. But a hint on the R390, I usually set the auto tranny several clicks higher than normal due to the good torque band.

Hey guys,

I guess that you were hoping that no one else would run the Rd 5 races then, huh?:p Well, I don't mean to bust your bubble, but I plan to enter, too. :D So, if both of you want to use the same cars, for each of the classes you enter, that's fine with me. But, I just had to let you know that I will be running in Rd 5, also.

Well Gary, I'm glad for the competion.

I sent all my times in. I found time to do all of the races, but didn't spend too much time on them. So it probably won't show up as fast as last time.

In GT2, I pulled some sort of miricle lap in the R390. My fastest turned out to be 2 seconds faster than any other lap I did in that car. I watched the reply, but couldn't pin point where I went so much faster, so of course I can't match the time any more.

In GT1 that Venturi is as predicted. A handful. About 6 spots around the lap where you have to activly be in control to not spin. I usually only remembered 5 of them. But I finally got one race off where I still spun once, but was consistentlly faster on all the other laps, so I still turned a decent time.

Alright, time to start thinking about round 6.

got my times in, however I too should have started earlier. I dialed in the Clio, but PS1 frustration pushed me to the verge of sorting anything out of the garage just to make the deadline.

GT40 spun 3times.... Escudo once

:banghead:

Hmm... A little fishy Gary

"1st: Gary

Car: Slyline R30 Silhouette Fomula
Hp/wgt/pw: 555/2116/3.812

Tt/Bl: 9:19.205/1:13.309"

That total time over 8 laps gives an average lap of 1:09.901, faster than your top time.

You want to take another look at that time.

And it look like you did extra laps or something in T1.

12for, great run in the Clio. I did spend a significant amount of time trying to get good times in T2. Super and GT1 are where I only did a few races.

Nice car!

Isn't it. I discovered this car in the last couple of months. It's a bit of a handful in full tune (~800hp), but is very well behaived at lesser tune (300-500hp). I used to only race this thing at full tune, and kinda disliked it. Only recently did I try it in lower tune.

his total time is of by one number (he gave all the lap times. but his position remains.

great run fellas, the next round should bring a few more racers back into the circle of speed.

icandigit,
thomas

BTW R390 '98 & '97 are inthe stable as we speak:)

The '98 bites. It might have a couple more bells and wistles in real life. But in the game its pretty much the same as the '97 but with 300 more lbs.

actually, gary's total time interests me less than his t2 time, or is it t1? well, whichever it was, it's near 4 seconds better best lap and i believe all three of you used the clio, which means it was probably t2. 4 seconds ahead of the second best best lap

Uhh... Huh?
Can you translate that for me, I fell like I just listened to "Who's on First".

ok. i was going by poor memory. it turns out that gary's best lap is better than 5 seconds ahead of yours. probably make me 9 seconds behind him. heh

Talentless,

I don't mean for this to sound rude, but if at anytime anyone feels like I have posted a time that can't be reached, I have all my races taped on video tape. So, if I need to send you or anyone proof of the times I turn in, let me know and I'll send the proof.;) Woodrufj (Jay W.), is a member of the GT2_USA group that I am the moderator of, and therefore he knows that I can back up my times.:D

times are kool by me chief, because I ran a 1:24 somthing during my tunning laps, however I couldn't remember how I did it!

Hey Guys,
Now, that we are into the Rd 6 race, can we still post our messages or comments here on this thread, for the Rd 6 race? Or should someone start a new thread with the subject of, Rd 6, Special Stage Route 5?

Hi 12for12,
Yeah, thanks for the vote of confident's.;) I'm glad to hear that you trusted my times. But, after thinking more about this matter, I probably didn't take the time to fully understand what Talentless was saying. Because, when I first read his message, my thoughts were that he just couldn't believe that I had such a better time with the same car that you guys were using.:O But, after thinking more about it, (and cooling down a bit), I realized that his comments were directed to you guys. In other words, he was saying that he couldn't understand why that you and woodrufj didn't run closer to my time than you did, or that is what I think he was saying?:D
Well, anyway I need to send Talentless an apology, because I didn't take the time to really understand what he was saying.:O So, I would like to say, I'm sorry, Talentless for sending that rude message back to you.
Okay, enough said. Now, lets go onto Rd 6. And good luck, everybody. ;)

i'm not sure what i meant, other than the difference was interesting.

Talentless,

Well, I'm not sure what you meant, either. But, I just know that I kinda took it the wrong way at first, and I shouldn't have. See, I've been working really hard for the past several months to better my times.;) I have read plenty of imformation and suggestions from other people, on how to tune my cars to achive better times.:D I still haven't improved enough to beat the one person that I really sat out to, on our GT2_USA group site. So, I guess the first thing that popped into my head, was that you felt like the time was just a little out of reach. And I'm no where near as good as others that I compete against. So, when I am able to post a time that is better than other members, who is usually the ones who wins, well, I just got to affenceif, and didn't take the time to fully understand what you were saying.:O And after I posted the message saying that I could back up my times, I really felt like a jurk.:banghead: But, like I said, I have really worked hard in the past months, and I hope that I will surprise a lot of people in the furture.;)
So, now, it's onto the next round !!

Yeah Guys,

I'm pretty sure now that Talentless was only commenting on something else.:O Like I said, it just hit me wrong when I first read the message, and misunderstood what he said.
It's just that I have worked really hard in the past few months to be able to get better lap times, and I just got fired up for nothing.

Talentless, I'll send you my list of cars and the races that I'm going to enter on Rd6, probably tomorrow night.
I just wished that some of the others would join in, at least for Rd 7.:)
