Okay, Heres a place to discuss Round 6. I don't mind starting the treads, it bosts my post count ever closer to 100.

I haven't looked into this course yet. If I remember right, it's a night course. I typically don't do well with night courses, especially if I have a dark car.

Hmm.. Its looking less and less like I'm going to get a chance to compete at all this round. Deadline is May5/6 (Monday night), and I've got two take home midterms, two late homework assignments and two programming assignments (I've got to learn to program first) to do before the 8th.

I will be back next round. And, as always, I'll try to be faster.

Yeah, me too. I'm not really suppose to be a full time student. I've got back to 'Night School' to get a masters while I'm still working.

I bring it on myself. Taking too many classes at once.

I haven't heard from DG lately. I think he's planning on driving, but might have gotten occupied recently.

I went to the Mitty at Road Atlanta a few weeks ago so I'm feeling like running old skool mods this round:lol:
Now that's a challenge, trying to dial in a GT40!

no times were sent in. gary has time, but i want some competion. i'll extend the deadline until 9/10.

times sent yesterday.

Running the GT40 was too Kool. That car really boost your ego once the suspension is dialed in. I ran 10 frt./8 rear spring - 8 dampers - 4 sway / soft frt. - medium rear / and 13 in the tranny & max downforce. I didn't bother with LSD or brake bias.

if I could only afford the real deal:lol:

You said you didn't "bother" with the LSD. Does that mean you didn't install one, or didn't adjust it?

I would think an LSD would be essential (it is in all cars powerful enough to spin a wheel). But set wrong would really fishtail that car.

I'd first guess to set it at about 25% effectiveness.

Yep it has LSD, MOF the GT40[R] on the PS1 is already fully loaded.
I think you guys can mod your GT40[R] on the PS2? The cars specs are a little differant, like the nissan racer in the last round ( your cars were lighter ):confused:

either way I had fun with the vintage racers; most are quicker than the newer cars by a long shot.

Would the systems really make any difference? They're both reading the same disk right?

There are two R390s. A '97 that is light and fast, and a '98 that is almost the same but 300lbs heavier, you sure that wasn't what you had?

hmm, '98 is the one I was running. :confused:

Your right the disc is the same data, I guess.

Did you make your times yet, I'm starting on Rd 7 tonight. Test & tune that is. I'm sticking with my vintage racers, they're kinda growing on me. I may try to beat the times from the earlier rounds just for the fun of it. :lol:
