Here we go. I took my last final last night, so I should have time to spare now. Tonight is a Rehersal dinner, tomorrow is a friends wedding and Sunday in a AutoX Race in San Diego. But Monday night I have nothing planned, and little for that whole week.

I'm going to experiment a little with different cars. I think the ones I have are great, but they all have the same course dependencies (All being powerful MRs).

Okay, deadline looks like June 2/3. I know 12for will race, hopefully the tornatos have let off DaddyGary, and I'd like to see Fodgle back. I can give him a little better run this time!

Hey Jay W.,
Yeah, we certainly hope that the tornados won't be back in our area for a long, long, time.;) We sure had a rough go of it for 5 days and nights straight, no doubt. But, we can only hope that this will be the end of them for quiet sometime.:)
And as far as the Rnd 8 races goes, I certainly plan to participate, if nothing else happens for sure.:D I really didn't want to miss the Rnd 7 races, but after I contacted Talentless to let him know when I would be able to send in my times, my wife's sister, who owns a small printing shop, called to ask us to help out for a few days, because of a big order she needed to get out. So, that took care of me for Rnd 7.:irked: So, if nothing else breaks, rips, or tares, I hope to be back in the Rnd 8 races.

Times for GT1, GT2, T1 so far.

For some reason T2 is being difficult getting a good lap. I suppose because it is just two laps, I'm pushing at the absolute limits, which of course results in increased chance of error.

Track seems pretty lonely so far. Managed to get the 240Z up to par, and ran a race that I'm satisfied with.

Good Luck to the rest of you.

ok fellas... got the Zcar out of the trenches just for you Fogelhund ( T1 ), and I'll run the MR for my man Woodrufj( T2 ).

Since I'm still undecided about my VWs.... GT40s and Speed 12 will return to the grid.

Deadline tonight:lol:

VWs? :odd:

I drove the T2 car twice last night (One spin, one in the weeds). So I'll be starting from scratch tonight.

I'd like to run the 240Z, but in its current tune state I'm stuck between classes (7.0lb/hp). Maybe I can do an easy de-tune, I think it would make a better T2 car than T1. The stockish R390 is just so damn fast for T1.

Yea VW's are the most underated cars in the game.AND it takes a lot of tuning to get them right:confused:

No renault MR? Z in T1 & T2 then? I'm game ;)

Either way we look at it, nobody else is going to participate so whatever it takes to keep the interest ( same cars, mods, etc,.. ) lets do it. This is my 1st series and I could do this all day...everyday:D

icandigit,
thomas

I'll probably just keep running the same cars for the four classes.

T2 Datsun 240Z
T1 Trampio Taivon FTO
GT2 STP Taisan Viper
GT1 97' Nissan R390 GT1

As far as tuning your VW's.. hmmmm Frankly, there is very little difference in the tuning of any of my cars. The above four only differ in gearbox, otherwise they are EXACTLY the same. There are more comfortable settings, but not much faster, at least on the tracks I've been to so far.

T2 & T1 - Zcar
GT2 & GT1 - GT40
Open - Speed12

I'm just trying to hit to hit th rev limiter:D

righton!

I'd drive a VW if they put an old bug in. It'd be like the fiat 500, but fast.

The bettle GT (or cup, or what ever they call that 4wd thing), is worth some face time. Besides that, I can only stand the lupo.

Jettas would have been nice.

Fogel. Those cars are very different, you really don't tune them differently (suspension settings)?

I was still planning on using the Renault, I don't have time to dink around with a new car's settings and still get all the times in. Besides, I think MRs would be a good config on Apricot. I need a new GT1 car though, the venturi in only good on simple stable courses.

Seriously, the settings on those cars were exactly the same for AH, and would be for most courses. I never said it made the cars easy to drive, just fast. In fact, the cars are pretty twitchy, and it takes a great deal of time to get used to.

The interesting thing about the results here is that you are going to get a wee glimpse of a decent 240Z time for Apricot, which just might come in handy for the Historics. You'll have a few extra hp, 263hp over the 230hp my T2 car has, but it should be an interesting target for you.

technical difficulties in ATL:mad:

T2 & T1 times sent this morning:confused: !!

what a night in the durtysouth....:banghead:

don't wait around, i'm very tired and will get to this later. also, i dunno if gary has submitted. he's given a few days extra because of personal problems.

i'm sick and in some pain, i'll try to get tothis when i can, i'm just browsing breifly.

Get better, we're all busy driving round 9.

I'm fighting a virus that is annoying. It's not bad enough to skip work, but is doing a number on my eyes and stomach.

partial results are up, but some info is needed. no points have been added yet.

results are finally up.

I guess I'm doing something right, BL in T1. KOOL. I guess consistancy is the next issue.

MAN, that Zcar kicked my butt. 1:19 is fast. I guess setting the tranny to max out at the start/finish was a mistake;)

Back to the drawing boards:confused:
