I did a bit of slow driving and looking around the new Route X last night, purposefully looking for telltale signs that there may or may not be more to it in the future. I did make a couple of discoveries. Remember folks, these are purely my own observations and in no way indicate that there will or will not be further add ons to this track.
First, the bridge over the front straight, 2/3 of the way along. There's a large banking curve to the left as you head along the straight. The entrance/exit to it, also to your left, has distance markings on it just as the main track does. The right side heads through a carved out rocky area to the opposite side, the back straight. I couldn't find where it came out or connected as there's structures in the way.
Following the front straight backwards the parallel track heads right back into the pits area, then beyond for a few hundred meters then ends. There's a red barricade between the two surfaces which appears to be moveable, possibly allowing for the two to connect.
I also noticed that under the bridge there's a pylon support footing that rises up directly out of the alternate track. If one were to clip that it would not be good.
I wasn't able to find much to indicate another track layout along the back straight, as I said, the view is obscured by too many structures once you get back onto the mainland, then there's the tunnel.
I used my Samba Bus to allow me to go to chase cam and have a higher view when looking left and right, plus the interior view left and right as I pan is excellent in this vehicle.
I realize there are other threads pertaining to this track, but most are a jumbled mess diving in and out of the topic at hand. Let's keep this to just pure observations of what is at the track from first hand eye witness acounts. Keep it factual and not speculative. No wishing this or that here, it's already been done.
