I am new to GT series. I saw that there is a thick white line on the RPM meter circumference. Some white line joined by red thick line immediately but some white line discontinues for a portion and reappear in red line. I understand the red line means engine overheat. But how to interpret the NO line portion? Is it relate to gear change?

can you show a picture of what you mean cause i have no idea what you are talking about

The redline as it is called does not necesarily mean that the negine will overheat. It's more of a safety zone where if exceeded the engine will be spinning at a higher speed that what it was ment to and you risk damaging the internals. Through stress that is, because of the extreme speeds the crank reaches.

As for the question at hand, i'm not sure.

I'm thinking he means the throttle indicator next to the tach...

I don't understand what he means either, a pic would be really helpful.

Plus, this thread is in the wrong forum, unless he has a beta version of GT5.

same thing running through my mind

Again...

If I'm right, I believe white indicates throttle position, while red indicates status of the clutch.

Maybe hes talking about the Turbo gauge and the rev counter? The turbo gauge is white and the turbo boost goes up with the revs to a sertain point:sly:

Moved to the applicable forum. That is, unless you have a time machine and magically bought the yet unreleased Gran Turismo 5.

;)

I think he is talking about the throttle and brake meters (ie, how hard you are pressing on the buttons/pedals).

When both white and red sections appear on the same bar, it means that traction control is kicking in to limit the power output.
