Hello guys! Not sure if this has already been covered or not, if in fact it has can someone please point me on the right direction?
I was wondering if it would be possible to uninstall all the GT5 updates and then reinstall one by one to get to an specific update?
Is there a log of when the updates have been released somewhere out there?
My reason for asking this is because I'd like to take my game back to the last update before July 2, 2011 wich introduced a bug that would let you retain the stock exhaust on RM'ed cars.

Thank you for your time guys!

You can, but you won't be able to do seasonals or play online.

Not an issue, the point is just to go back and buy a couple of RM Vettes and Camaros. How would I go about doing this? Won't the game update all at once? And how would I know wich is the particular update I am looking for? I'm not sure but think it was somewhere between 1.05 and 1.07...

You'll need a new save game as well. Save games are not usable on old versions due the the New free cars given in the patches.
So you won't have any money or correct levels to buy the cars with.

That assuming you can terminate the install after the patch you want.

https://us.gran-turismo.com/us/ still contains the update release info..

Are you trying to go back to the update where you could keep the exhausts stock on RMed cars?

Edit: whoops, didn't thoroughly read the OP.

Thank you sir! Already have it!

Yeah, that's my concern too. We'll see! Hope I don't loose any important stuff doing this! Lol!

When you update, It will NEVER say which update it is loading. It could have it broken down in parts. It could be just one large file to install. Also I do not think it will say what the size of the current update is downloading.

Thats what i'm trying to understand,
I've repaired an old PS3 recently but didn't bother about versions at that time :ouch:
I was thinking it was more obvious to pinpoint wich version you were downloading but I guess i was wrong.
So basically, what you are saying is the versions are not necessarily related to the x/14? files I had to download? (Might be more than 14 files, but in my case, last time logged in was 13 months ago.)

/edit
If I try it out and get stuck between 1.05 and 1.07. Ill look for those RM with stock exhaust.
How you do it?
You RM it and thats it, stock exhaust?

The actuall update that introduced that bug was 1.09, you need to be on that update for it to work. All you need is to buy the car do the RM and it will come out with the stock exhaust, DO NOT equip any other exhaust if you do it will atumatically go to the Titanium Racing Exhaust wich is the one you're trying to avoid. once you get the cars RM'ed you can just send them to any secondary account.

That look easy. Well, at least the part after you got the correct version
So basically, if you did a RM car pre 1.09, it should have the stock exhaust, IF I never touched the exhaust?
You might be lucky, ima check something out..

no luck, the ZR1 RM was fully tuned :\
