I'm in the market to buy my first rig and have done some research so it's not that I need all the information just some opinions from those who have experience with either products.

Some of my concerns are...
-The stability of the CSL seat. With only thin bars being connected to the wheel deck it looks like it won't be the most stable.
-Comfort level being able to fit a 6'3 body
-Functionality with butkicker

The price difference being 250$ makes me lean to the CSL seat but I love the color selection the Rseat offers. So please help me out if you have any insight!

Had the same dilemma you have. The CSL looks great and in price very interesting. But in the end I could get my hands on a demo rSeat for a few bucks more then a CSL. I'm about 1.86m with a weight of about 100kg. the rSeat fits nice without getting the feel like a sardine being pressed inbetween. Adjustability is great and fitting my CSR with CSP v1 was very easy.
Looks like with a rSeat it will be easier to switch to an other raceseat. Also easier when one wants to put some sound and a tactile setup onto.

But for the price there asking , the CSL ain't that bad too.

Thanks for the input! I heard about switching raceseats on the Rseat but didn't put to much value in that. I would hope the seat it comes with is good enough although I know some are saying the seat needs a boost in cushioning. So in the future it might be a huge advantage. Is there a better spot to mount a buttkicker or a similar unit onto the Rseat then the CSL? I was thinking about getting the CSL and using the extra cash I saved from not going with a more expensive rig to buy a tactile unit or upgrade to a csr elite. Like you I have a csr but with elite pedals.

I have been waiting to pull the trigger for 2 RSeats, hoping that maybe sometime after Christmas there may be a sale. I have 2 Playseats now so I am not in a hurry.

I also started with a CSR wheel and elite pedals but came across a GT3 RS v2 which is what I am using now on my main seat. I would be very happy using this wheel all the time except that it is not XBox 360 compatible. At this point my Buttkicker is mainly unused as I need to find a way to combine the stereo output to a mono one, I know there is an american solution but I have not been able to find anything in Canada. The price to ship it up here is unreasonable.

Like everyone here I am sure most of us have spent a lot of time researching rigs and I believe at this point I am sold on the RSeat though the are a bit expensive. But I am hoping this is my last purchase for a rig.

As I allready posted several times on this forum. Tried both setups ( I have Rinoseat aka Fanatec CSL) and winner is CSL. You wont regret this choice. The best solution is to wait till first reviews go public and then decide what to buy.

Going by photos of the CSL compared to the rSeat which I have seat time in, the rSeat looks much more solid. It also has a shifter mount which can be on either side, buttkicker mount, and I think a pretty good deal more adjustability. It really allows me to get everything in the correct position for me. I was easilly able to add a button box mount to it as well.

Granted it is more expensive so if money is a factor try and read reviews to really see what you like and what features you require.

I'm 6' and have plenty more room to adjust if needed. At 6' 3" you should be good. My buddy who is 6' 4" ran my setup and thought it was great.

The problem with buying a rig is down to personal choices. What feels good for ones doesn't mean it wil feel the same for someone else.
And with all the choices available , there's another problem. There's no shop you can go to and try out different brands, at least I know in Holland I don't know of a shop which has a plenty of brands to try out.
Like I said, narrowed down my choice between CSL and rSeat, finally choose for the rSeat. And did not regret it. Sturdy, lots of adjustments possible. So for me it's allright.

Good rigs is adjustable and stable and have well padded seats or you can easilly exchange seats. Those are universal as anyone can get the driver position they want and a solid rig is a solid rig there is no such thing as preferring a rig that flexes :). The only thing truly subjective is the design. Sadly the best rigs is generally those with the least WAF ;)

I can say that CSL is rock solid, so I doubt rSeat could be any more solid unless you mean that rSeat stays in place. With CSL you may rock from side to side if you try to move yourself that way pretty hard.
CSL seat is very comfortable, at least compared to Playseat. Have not tried rSeat myself.
I think the biggest question is, who uses your cockpit. If you have fully grown man and a lot smaller children, then the CSL isn't that good choice, as you can not configure it on the fly, as everything is basically screwed together, so you'll have to unscrew them. You can only slide seat forward and backward easily.
