Basically I wanted to get the full experience when playing racing games and figured the only way was to get a cockpit. I had a playseat with a Microsoft wheel before but sold it after it sat for a few months after not being used often. I think this setup is going to be much, much, nicer.

My old setup (Playseat had the optional seat slider on it too):

New setup is the following:

rSeat Evo V3
Fanatec CSR Wheel
Fanatec CSR Pedals (w/ Basherboards pedal filter bare bones) w/ inverted adapter
Fanatec Porsche shifter set (possibly modding for e-brake)
Thrustmaster TH8RS shifter w/ Basherboards SFA1 adapter
Buttkicker Gamer V2

The cockpit is, well, awesome! Seat feels really nice, shifter mount is totally adjustable for a great amount of adjustment. I really like the "C" wheel mount which keeps your knees from hitting any center column. The angle of the wheel and pedals are adjustable as well. There is also already a mount for the Buttkicker to bolt to. Everything feels very solid and well built. The seat went together without any issue. Everything needed to "build" it is included. I would recommend some scissors and/or knife. I highly recommend the rSeat. I can't wait to get some real seat time in it.

The last thing that sold me is no mods are needed to the seat for mounting the components. It is ready to hard mount the CSR wheel/pedals and TH8RS shifter out of the box.

I plan to keep this updated as I go, can post some videos to Youtube, and also update with new photos once everything else arrives.

Thanks! You need an adapter for the TH8RS. Basherboards is making one and it supposedly works great! I'm waiting for mine to arrive now.

Basically reverse through 6th gear work as they should. 7th gear works as a sequential shift up. So if you are in 6th and go into 7th, then it would register as 7th gear (if the car has it). If you are in 4th and go into 7th it would upshift you into 5th. You can go into any gear FROM 7th and it would register the correct gear.

Nice setup. Looks like much better quality than the playseat. I might have to look into that shifter as well. 👍

I installed the Buttkicker 2 the other day and while waiting for my wheel/pedals have been playing while sitting in the seat. So far I really like it, but it is torture to have the seat without a proper wheel setup.

I picked up some Astro A40 w/ Mixamp Pro headphones and really digging those as well.

I got word that my Fanatec gear is waiting for me at home so hopefully tonight after I set it all up i'll get some real seat time. I'll try and make a short video as well.

daft question but what does the buttkicker 2 do (how does this enhance the driving experiance ?)

The Buttkicker adds vibration to the seat. So when I hit the edge of the grass or go into the sand I fell it in the seat. It isn't perfect, but definitely good for the price. I figured this was a good compromise between wanting some type of seat feedback and wanting a full-on simulator setup....considering I can't nearly afford the later.
