I just picked up the game the other day and have been having an absolute blast so far. It's the best racing game I've played in quite some time. I had a question about tires though from some other things I've read on the GT Sport sub-Reddit and a few other places.

It seems like some consider using racing super soft tires on your car to be "cheap", and almost akin to cheating. In arcade races where tire wear is off, of course there's no reason to worry about which one to use either. I was just curious as to what everyone here uses in order to present more of a challenge to yourself, or if there is actually some kind of benefit to using a harder tire, other than in endurance races where you need a harder tire to last longer.

On lobbies where there's no tire restrictions, I use RMs and drop down to RHs if I win with a big lead. I don't mind other people using RSS, I just don't like using it myself since it kills the car for me. I can't feel the car :(

I can understand that. To be fair, the difference between RM and RSS is noticable but not so much for me that the car feels completely different to drive. I can see what you're saying about RSS though. With that, you can take brake really late and take corners incredibly fast.

Yep :)
Maybe I'm not just sensitive enough to the cars  although, like Lebowski said, feel free to use any tires you like. If it's fun for you, then have fun! :)
