Not true, If PD wanted Porsche they would have Porsche.
They would have to work a deal with EA just like other companies have done.
They just don't want Porsche in the game for whatever reason.
That's hysterical.
EA is PD's competitor and wouldn't offer a great deal. PD obviously wants every interesting car they can find, and their workaround with RUF proves they are interested.
If you watch the GTTV they actually show a lot of Porsche's great racing legacy.
EA probably asked for an absurd amount of money, and PD realized it wasn't worth it. PD is a business, and even if they really want something, they don't have infinite dollars. It's not like they can just make everything happen that they want to happen. Only children think like that about businesses.
I don't blame EA... they are PD's competitor, and I don't blame PD, they are trying to make money.
I just think Porsche should do what they can to license their products to a lot of games instead of in exclusivity to EA. GT is the dominant car series in Europe by a massive margin with 30 million units, and while folks are enjoying BMWs and Audis and Ferraris and Corvettes, the Porsches are not making their presence known.
Porsche worked very hard to build a racing legacy, and because of the way they structured their deal, they have minimized the exposure of that legacy. I also suspect they aren't making as much money. It's EA that's making the money, but if no deal is reached, no one gains.
Your judgment of PD in this case seems pretty unfair.
