I started GT6 with the Small Honda (Jazz?) (FWD) and once I earned some money I purchased a RWD Lexus Soarer.

What was surprising was for a RWD 270 BHP car it's almost impossible to oversteer or 'drift' which deosnt seem right. It just seems to understeer without drifting or spinning no matter how much power you put on.

Are there perhaps some driver aids turned on that stop oversteer from happening, because this doesnt seem realistic to me?

Philip.

Well, that depends what AIDS you have turned on.

TCS, SRF, SRM will all cause the car to behave much more civilized than it would in real life. Racing tires will also make the car grip too much.

Sorry for newbie question but are driving aids on by default?

Aids and tyres will usually be the source of your problems, weight can also be an issue (the soarer is fairly heavy if memory serves).
But yeah, all cars come with TCS 5 as standard, so turn that down to zero and you should see a change. Turn off ASM + SRF if they are turned on, you can leave ABS at 1 if you like. If you want it to drift more readily, throw a pair of Comfort Hard tyres on and you'll be sliding around in no time.

This man speaks sense.

Thanks for the replies - I'll be trying out the soarer without electronic aids today - will be interesting to see the difference.

The annoying thing is, for whatever reason EVERY car comes with TC at 5. So if you're looking to drift cars, just remember that you have to set TC to 0 every time. 👍
