I had this car for a long-ass time. I thought it really sucked at turning. But I was fooling around and discovered it could turn! Try this:

----------------- Front---Rear

Spring Rate: 16.4 14.8
Height: 55 59
Shock Absorbers: *none*
Shock Bound: 4 5
Shock Rebound: 5 6
Camber Abgles: 4.0 9.8 (i know, VERY weird)
Toe Angles: 2 -2
Stableizers: 2 4

Brakes: 24 24 <----customize to your liking)
Limited...Tourque 10
Limited... Acceleration 5
Limited...Decalleration 60

Auto Setting (trans) 34
*set last gear all the way to the left*
Downforce: .66 1.05
ASM: 5
TCS: 3

*** If the back is to wild for your liking, move the ASM up!***

Tell me what you think of these, this is my first time posting my settings.

Thanks!!

looking at your setup i would urge you to try this:
(for experimenting sake

downforce FULL/FULL (i bet you 20 bucks you're faster with full downforce on every single track except super speedway and test course).

asm : off. as high as 2 if you're having off-throttle drift problems
LSD Decel: 5, up to as high as 20 if you're having off throttle drift problems.
camber I leave stock on this car, but if your 9.x works, more power to ya.
TCS i leave at 1 or 2.

give those a try if you have a moment. hope you benefit from them! if not, aw well.
;)

Welcome to the forums, VTECboy. I hope your stay here is a pleasant one. Is this setup of the RX-7 LM one that you use, or just a guess off the top of your head?? It doesn't matter, at least you have input for setups....I leave everything alone usually. Do you have any other bits of GT3 wisdom that you don't mind sharing??

:burnout:

thx for the welcome :)

are you asking ME if i have any other 'bits of gt3 wisdom'?

well, i've been an active member of GT3times.com since last september so i've picked up a few things!
I can usually point someone in the right direction if there is something they need to know...

if you weren't asking me, then i'll shutup now. :p

oh> i dont' race the RX7 all that often, i prefer my Denso Sard Supra. So those were basically off the top of my head!
I just ran a quick couple laps of Special Stage 5 with the RX7 LM and managed a 1'08.210. (this could definitely be improved.)
if you want those settings lemme know.

I thought you give up speed when you have high down force, and most tracks have fast curves and long straighs. So how can you be so much faster.\? But may be you know something I dont.

*shrug*
It's just been my experience that anyone who has won a challenge or posted a 'fastest time' for any race has done so with max downforce. (except for speedway and test course).

you will lose a couple mph in top end, yes, but you will gain a couple in every corner! Your acceleration to top speed won't really be affected (as far as i know).

If you want to experiment, go to a course with some long straights and sweeping turns. (See: Midfield). try it with half, three quarters, and full downforce. see what happens and post your findings ;) (i'm curious, i've never tried it. I think i will when i get home tonight though.)

More downforce on front gives you best 0-60/100 times, but u must also have at least .8 downforce on back or your wheels wont have enough pressure on them

If you pay attention, you will notice that it takes about 1:30 to get around most tracks. You spend very little of that time accelerating in a straight line. I turn it down a little for Tokyo or Grand Valley, but not much.
