Hi, I searched a lot and learned a lot :D but I still have some unanswered questions.
My RX-8 is my favourite car and i've tuned it the most and the best out of all of my cars. I'll first give my mods and settings, and then the problems I have.

Racing brakes, brake controller, sports chip, nitrous, racing suspension, supercharger (which I usually have uninstalled becuase its easier for me to control with less power), triple plate clutch, racing flywheel, carbon driveshaft, racing transmission (although I left it stock for now), racing LSD, stage 2 weight reduction, wing, and I think thats it. The tires are stock because for now they last just long enough for most of my races.

Driving aids are off except for TCS which is at 3, my LSD is 10, 30, 20. Suspension is:
..........................F......R
Spring Rate.......14.5..15
Ride height is just about 10 clicks away from lowest setting
Shock bound......4.......6
Shock rebound...8.......8
Camber............3.5.....3.5
Toe....................0.......0
Stabilisers..........5.......4

a) My car seems to understeer sometimes, but the thing is I tend to brake and corner at the same time no matter how much I try to break that habit.
b) Even with all of this i'm not always beating the competition by that much. On the Autumn Ring race in the Club RE one make race, I only won by about 1 or 2 seconds. It wasn't be cleanest race but I was expecting a lot better. It was a 35 point race (although I know that points aren't always accurate).
c) I feel that my tuning made my car worse, and better at the same time. When I had the driving aids all at 5, my car felt much faster and easier to control. With just suspension tuning above, a supercharger, sports chip, and stage 1 weight I beat the RX-8 cup at Laguna Seca by 26 seconds.
d) When braking in a straightline since i've added the LSD, I hear a stuttering sound while braking hard.
e) Do you see any way to improve my settings in general? I know that different tracks need stiffer or softer springs, etc. but in general anything i'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

Have a read through the epic Are suspension settings backwards? thread. The test car for that thread was the RX-8.

Unfortunately with GT4, you're going to have to do break the trail-braking habit for some cars, the RX-8 being one of them. Most of them will just plow until you let up on the brakes, including FWD cars which often like to be trail braked.

1. decrease rear camber - your rear camber is giving the rear tires too much traction
2. decrease front stabilizer - your front stabilizer isn't allowing the front end to turn in

those are the 2 settings i see off the bat which contribute to your car understeering
