It's a dreadful motto - this from the company that brought you the 121 Metro (look, it's a metal box!) and the 2.0 626 sedan (if Toyota didn't make the Camry it would be the world's dullest sedan).
Ford have quite a bit to answer for in terms of Mazda's product line.
I miss the old V6 Astina, we very nearly bought one.
It bothers me very much that people (rather, agencies) get paid that kind of money for such simple work. But not anyone can do that. I work at
Stone & Ward - Advertising and Marketing. We do pretty much the same thing, but we don't see nearly those kinds of figures on our paychecks.
Hey wait a minute, what's wrong with "Zoom zoom"? I thought it was kinda cute (: Think of the cars they apply it to, the Miata, the MP5, possibly the MP3, and unfortunately the RX8 will probably get stuck in future commercials with that slogan. It's the "hey we've got a cute little car, it goes zoom zoom, weeeeeee, now buy one." slogan.
Compare it to Apple's big slogan that they've been using for years, "Think Different". They could at least use correct grammer. How about, maybe, "Think for yourself" .... holy crap, don't get me started on that rant. I made a whole website devoted to bashing "Think Different". Fortunately I trashed it all before Mac users united and destroyed me.
I still think "Z8M Z8M" would be a fun license plate for an RX8. But maybe I'll stick with "MACH 8".
