At first, I found the S-2 test to be extremely diffucult as well. There are several things that you might want to consider.
The most important things in the Super License tests are actually the smallest things that you dont think about. Taking the right lines, getting that extra 500 RPM's out of each gear, things like that can shave seconds off your time. Another thing I've found that helps GREATLY for me was the braking and gear warning next to the gear you're in. It's the bright red number with an arrow, which means what gear you should take the next turn at (it's not perfect at all times but I find it to be pretty damn good). When it starts blinking, that's about the time you should begin to brake, maybe a little before, maybe a little after.
Another thing you may want to consider is to not just keep the gas on the floor at all time. You'll find that the Ford GT40 car they have has some power to it, and not much weight. Of course the assists are turned off as well, so flooring it you can lose amounts of time larger than you think, and like I said, these tenths of a second add up. Remember to try not to brake too much into turns. A lot of these things might seem like common sense, but they are honestly needed to get even a bronze on this race.
I actually think it's somewhat rediculous to make the bronze for this track (a very technical and difficult track for a car so easily thrown around) only 4 seconds more than the company record. I think something like 135.500 or even 136.000 may have been more appropriate, but what do I know.
The last thing, and in my opinion, most importantly, is to learn to use the manual transmission to it's fullest. Most people start off using the automatic, figure out using the R1/R2 method of adding RPM's to the gears, and figure that's fine. But ESPECIALLY for S-8, and even for all of them, manual is practically required.
For S-8, the strategy is so much more incredibly simple than you think it is. I spent probably 3 hours trying to do this race on automatic, trying to feather the gas as gently as I could, but I just couldnt get both 1st AND 2nd gears and the beginning of 3rd smooth enough to prevent fishtailing. I switched to manual, something I didn't do too often back then, and I figured I'd try something out. For every single turn, save for the chicane and the sharp U-turn, I used 3rd gear, and if it was revving too low in 3rd, I'd switch it down to 2nd when I was going straight. I finished that race almost getting a silver the 3rd time I tried it on manual. I was amazed to say the least. From that point on I never went back from manual, you just have so much more control. For example, try to get anything past 3rd place on the 10th time trial with an automatic transmission. I couldn't do it

.
Thanks for hearing me out.
Hope it helps.
By the way, I'm new to GTPlanet, so "Hi!" everyone!
