S-7 and S-10 post update seem broken.

The only two events left are S-7 and S-10.

I have not even gotten 3rd on either event.

I have tried the Elise 111R, which is now useless in these races, I've tried the Mines GTR, the Amuse S2000 and I've tried the GT LM II which gets me the best results.

The penalty system is flawed, even when I am hit by an opponent I am slapped with a penalty.

Is there anything I'm missing for beating these events? Special tuning, or a car I haven't tried that works best?

Please help, I don't want to smash my G25 through my plasma out of frustration.
 
Im in the same boat, I only have to pass S10 I have come close, but then scewed it myself.
I use the Ford GT LM, same settings as I used online for the 700pp time trial on daytona.

the only easy way is to download a saved data en imput that to the ps3, but ill pass on that I want to do it myself.
 
I did it using the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car as well, I believe some settings are posted in these forums. Still took me a lot of times to get it though, and barely 3rd :P.
 
I golded S-7 with the Amuse and S-10 with the GT LM since the update. Settings are in the tunings section. I suggest exit/restart if the Amuse or GT LM is on pole for either race else they tend to escape while you battle through the field ;)
Both needed practise, and yes those penalties (esp at Suzuka) can get frustrating, just hang in there. I used the DS3.
 
YUAHHHHHHHHHHHHH I just did it, got second in the ford GT lm, got rammed from behind on last chicane and got penaly otherwise I would have been first.
the key is the first lap, the time has to be below 1:16, other laps where 2:08.5 2:07.3, 2:07.5 and 2:10.1
 
I beat them both today by using the GT LM II, lowering the weight to 85, and dropping the power until it was 700pp. This was the only setup that worked for me.
 
I dont think they are broken, you just have to drive aggressively without bumping the ai. I know its hard, but a good strategy I used is to lighten your car, outbrake the ai, and dive into the corner and hope to pass a few cars.

On S7 Fuji I used the Nissan GTR and easily got 2nd. I would have been in first but I was bumped on last turn and given a penalty, oh well.

S10 I used the Amuse S2000, this race was not easy, the first few turns are very important, you need to take these perfect to gain time because the AI is very heavy on the brakes here, so try to hit the apexes.
 
I just got 3rd in both with the Mines Skyline. Before that I tried with the Amuse s2k and just could not pull it off. I am not too familar with fuji or suzuka so I turned on the driving line and it helped a bunch for me.

Oh yeah I got a few penalties in both and it wasn't the best driving but man im happy that I finally placed in them. I found the F40 race harder as i'd get penalties left and right. Whoever golded these mad props to you guys.

Oh yeah my adjustments were to lower the vehicle weight as much as i could and add or take away power and that was it.
