(Or) every turn on that stinkin test!  How can I best it? Me and my friend have been going at it for 3 or 4 hours, with no sucess.

EDIT:TO whoever revived this thread, I beat it  WEEKS ago

The S license is a very hard license to get. I didn't get the S-8 on my game. I had to have one of my brother's friends to do it. I can't really ofer any advice except don't give up.


I tried to get it probably 100 times with absolutely no luck. I was close to getting bronze by a few seconds, but not close enough. :(
 
I just passed it about an hour ago after trying for god knows how long. Just finish once, and race your ghost, thats the best advice I can give.
 
I just passed the S8 yesterday, after watching the demo. The trick is not to use gears as indicated by the computer but stay in higher gear (3rd/2nd gear)otherwise the wheels will spin and you lose control.
 
...and for G*D's sake, be gentle on the gas; quickest way to fail is slam the @$$ end of your car into the wall by inadvertently blipping the throttle a little too hard
 
I just recently passed S-6 ( the viper at laguna seca) and was so stressed out by it that i haven't returned to the license tests since, and that was almost a week ago.Good luck buddy, let me know how you do it, Becasue you will succeed in the end.
 
I'm up to 5 hours of trying, It's hopless! I actually had a run that was  about .200 off of the gold butt I spun out right out after i noticed how well I was doing. arrggg
 
Practice makes perfect, If you fail, your just not good enough :(   More practice, will result in a pass when you get things right :)
 
HAHHA I agree with robisme, practice makes perfect...  All S license tests can be reached with a gold medal, what can I say some are just better drivers than others! :P good luck to the fewls with IA...
 
I honestly don't beleive it's worth getting All Gold on S-License. You just win a car you can win through the races. At least on GT1 (Nismo 400r) & GT2 (99' Toyota GT1 Race Car) you could only win these cars by getting gold in the last license.
 
Com'on guys.  From reading the forums, I was so stressed about the S-8 track, that when I got to it, I just lost it.  I was getting better times in my Beatle.  :D

*Take it easy,
*Try it for 2 hrs. max then take a brake from it,
*race against your updated ghost,
*once you have your ghost updated-watch the demo again, it will have the demo car and your goast racing at the same time.  You'll be able to see your mistakes.
*Run Manual Transmission - if your not comfortable with MT then start racing with it and come back to the demo.
*On the demo replay, setup the display to show all movements of the car like braking, gas, gears, stearing.  Also, watch it in the view that you normally race in.
*Race the Monaco Endurace race with the same Toyota.  Race it stock with no mods, setup the handling the same way as in the S-8 test.  After 78 laps, you should have it down pretty good.

It can be done, have someone try the license with you.  Sometimes we get caught in a rut with our bad habbits.  Watching another racer, might just give you an idea how to take a corner different which might just make the difference.

BTW - I ran the engine hard (like the demo driver that's on crack).  It worked for me.  :)

You can also get it from the Professional League in the GT All Stars.  :D  At least that's where I got it.
 
ive tried getting that s-8 forever but it freaking hard! im not a quiter but i guit. (<---did that make sence) i got tired of trying so im gonna go back in try in like an hour after i finish some other races.
