S class events...

Ok first post so I wasn't really sure where to put this.

I am new to GT5p and I have now unlocked the S class events...

I am having immense difficulty with car selection and tuning.

I have searched for hours and not really found anywhere which suggests certain cars for certain races i.e. lotus is best for S-1 or something like that...

Also I have read many posts about the Lotus 111r tuned being the best cars for some of the events, but sadly most of these are pre-update and therefore don't work on my updated game.... Is it still a good car to have still?

Im sort of strapped for credits aswell, would anyone suggest saving up for a car?

Any pointers would be most helpful?!

Thanks this looks helpful, atm Im always spinning off in the NSX! But im sure ill crack it!
