[S GT1] Super Grand Touring 1 (Ideas and Interest)

Super Grand Touring 1 [S GT1] ​

The Super GT1 will be a Grand Touring racing series with many 8 teams, each team having two drivers using the same cars. In GT1 all cars will be very high performance (GT3 will be more low performance cars). This racing series will be point based . We'll be racing on all the real life tracks.

Cars
There are good high performance cars in Gran Turismo 5. We'll be using premium cars so more people could have a chance of joining. Some cars I think would be great for this are the following:

Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Audi R8 5.2
Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 or the C7 finished prototype
Ferrari 458 Italia
Ford GT
Lamborghini Gallardo
McLaren MP4-12C
Mercedes SLS AMG
Nissan GTR

This is NOT the official car list. I'll have to buy and do some test to see if how competitive they'll be. I'll have a BHP restriction made after doing some testing.

Tracks

We'll be using a wide variety of tracks. I'm planning on racing starting in North America and going east around the whole globe. Here are the tracks I've thought would be good starting in order:

Daytona Road Course
Indianapolis Road Course
Mazda Laguna Seca Speedway
Fuji Speedway F
Suzuka Circuit
Tsukuba Circuit
Nurburgring GP/F (or GP/D not sure)
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Autodromo Nazionale Monza

I was thinking maybe have a longer race on Circuit de La Sarthe and Nurburgring 24H in the beginning and ending of the season.

Point System

Each driver and team will be given points for winning, completing, and dominating in a race. Here are how the points will be added:

Driver:
1st: 50p
2nd: 40p
3rd: 30p
4th: 20p
5th: 10p
completing: 5p

Team*:
1st: 50p
2nd: 40p
3rd: 30p
4th: 20p
completing: 10p

* A team will win points by their highest driver

Dominating (One Two finish): 20p (For driver AND team)

I'm planning for this to start once summer starts so I would really like to have teams to start practicing and making strategies ASAP and have a fun season premier.
S GT3 will be low performance cars. I'll post that in the following days. S GTX will be hybrid cars (Prius TC and CR-Z TC). I'll also post that in the following days.

I think it's a fantastic idea. How about one of the two longer tracks - Le Mans and Nürburgring 24h - as the season opener or the halfway point event and the other as the season finale?
