S-Licence GT2 equivalent

Excuse my ignorance...
In Australia we haven't got GT3 yet (3 days!). I've played GT2 though and I'm wondering how much harder it is to get the GT3 Super Licence compared with the GT2 S-licence (which I got fairly easily). Is the GT2 S-licence equivalent to a GT3 IB-licence? IA-licence?
 
no, i played all gt1, gt2 and gt3. gt3 seems to have easier licenses. in fact, the easiest out of all.

Everyone seems to be always bitchin' about how hard GT3's tests are. I guess they must mean getting all the Golds is hard. Oh well, i guess that's where the real challenge lies.
 
Actually,it kinda depends. If you're a racing god after playing GT2 37 hours a day since it's release, then yeah, all of the tests seem easier. Me, I'm just barely above average in skill.

Having said that, the B and A licences are a cinch, the IB about the same, IA a little tough though not very. Most of the S license is about the same difficulty as the GT2 S license except for the final, S-8, which is a BITCH.
 
Yeah, personally, I thought that IA on GT1 was the hardest, but of course I hadnt been playing for years.

I must say, S8 on GT3 is hard as hell.  I did the mistral endurnace race twice in the gt-one before I could take the test.  Its the widowmaker.
