When I first did the license tests, the ones where you have to overtake everything, they weren't easy. You only had to clip another car at the wrong time and you were disqualified.
Now though it seems to be a different story.
Thanks to the Sony/Anon hash-up I was re-doing license tests to get rid of all the bronze, when it came to the S tests I was able to ram, bash and smash a gold 1st time on all tests except one.

When did they change it so you can use the AI cars as brakes?
 
It was changed in one of the updates, I think that it was 1.06.
I don't like it, makes it too easy and it doesn't encourage clean driving.

I think that they changed it because people got annoyed with the AI braking in strange places.
 
I noticed the same, too. The only one i had to try more than once was Trial Mountain and that's only because the Masserati is very slow compared to the lead Zonda - on a short track!
 
Because maybe not everyone is quite such a driving genious as you 2. Not everyone has the skill or patience to do these things 1st time around. Ever heard the phrase 'everyone is unique' ? Statements like yours do my head in, it's like you think that because you can do it so should everyone else. Imagine if Roger Bannister thought like that, or Neil Armstrong; what a world of under-achievers we would be.

THIS!!! Didn't have time to reapeat it over and over, but I'll start this one again today.
 
Just based on my GT5 trophys, it took me 27 minutes from golding my IA license to gold my S License. It needs to be beefed up a bit.

Everyone pays equal money for this game so everyone should be presented with an equal chance of completing the tasks. Some may find it too easy, some may find it too hard. They have to meet a happy medium. So it's not by my logic, it's by common sence that game makers want everyone to enjoy their games whatever their level of competance so that they keep coming back to buy future releases.

PS, i don't know what your silly little graphic was meant to be but i'm glad it wasted some of your life!

I decided to finish them seen as I couldn't get online (bloody hackers!!) and they did seem quite a bit easier than they should be!

Funnily enough those "strange places" were in spots that encouraged you to out brake the A.I and teach you driving techniques. That's what i always assumed the A.I was there for once i got GT5, i thought hmmm obviously i'm spose to late-brake that guy, then draft that guy, then duck on the inside of that guy who goes wide every time.. All things people complained about, but i found it good to hone my technique before jumping online.

The biggest gripe i have is people saying the A.I isn't hard enough , are these people that have raced online , proceded to have their backside's handed to them when faced with real competition, then after they have wiped the tears from the realisation they aren't as good as what they thought they were ( was my case ) ,so they then come online and subtlely brag about they are the most amazing racer and the A.I is useless.

I love reading the comments of people who are superhuman vs the A.I , gives me my daily "lulz"

at first i was wondering if it was too easy, but then i did the one with the ferrari 330 and had a second thought, but i beat it with a gold soon after... so then i was left wondering again... when i did the one at the top gear test track, it became clear that they just said "screw it". I was driving all over the entire track, skipped the entire hammerhead, etc. It was pathetic, and beyond way too easy.
 
Why was the S licence nerfed?
Because PD realised how bad the AI is and they probably recieved many complaints about the AI bumping us and we got dq'd so they removed the dq for bumping.
 
Is it true that PD made the license tests easier with the update? or just your guys getting better with the game then it make you feel that the tests become easier after the time past... anyway license tests in GT5 are not very hard compare to their predecessor GT series...:)

Before the update, if you bumped into other cars then you will get disqualified. This is good because it encourages clean driving. Apart from this, the S license was easy anyway as the AI are slow.

After the update, you won't get disqualified if you bump into other cars. This means that you can basically bash them out of the way to get past, which is bad. 👎👎👎

We've seen similar arguments elsewhere regarding short cuts etc. Try just not ramming the other cars, if you are a decent driver you should be able to avoid it. No one is forcing you to use the other cars to bounce off of. If you do it by mistake, try again, as you would have been forced to before the update anyway.
