it's the only test i can't gold and it's starting to rather upset me. i can take second on the straight by the lock ness monster's hiding place, but no matter what i try, i can't seem to get close to the leader. are there any tricks that are out there that i should try? every time i get some momentum going, some douche nugget in front of me slams on their brakes for no reason and i'm screwed. i've tried avoiding that car the next try, but that takes me too far off the optimal line and i'm still screwed.

i guess what i'm looking for is that "a-ha" moment where someone realized, "oh. as long as i make this pass in this particular way, i'm home free!!" any such luck?

Ok, this is going to sound bad but i kinda cheated this one. In a recent update, PD lifted the touch=fail thing for these challenges. So rather then avoiding the car (i know the one you mean, he had me 🤬) i used him as a bit of a pinball deflector  Worked for me, so it should work for you 👍

I golded all of S licence, without hitting the cars, such a good drive, that one was hard. Just keep trying normally catch him last corner.

yeah, i was REALLY getting frustrated until i remembered to turn down the traction control. good god that thing's intrusive!! i went from 5th to 2nd just by doing that. i really, really, really, really, REALLY want the gt acadamy prize car, so i guess i'm just gonna have to bite the bullet on this one and spend the time to get it right. i just hate how that one car is so far in front of the rest of the pack. in all 9 other tests, the lead group is all bunched together. i just need to find a way around that cluster f#ck of cars in that down hill section leading to the final straight. it's like a d@mn demolition derby!!

bloody hell, i didn't even think of that. duh. i'll do that tonight. sometimes it's the simplest suggestions that make the most difference

on youtube there is a guide to golding all the licenses, so go see if that helps you out, i'll post if i have the link :D

On all the S tests i used traction zero abs 1, Trial mountain i found hardest, i found you really need to be behind the 2nd RUF on the downhill before the big left hander and after that bend just the vette and zonda in font of you. Get the zonda on the last left before final chicane area otherwise he'll head off into distance. Don't think i could have golded any without hitting cars tbh, since the removed the disqualification for that it wasn't that bad really :)

ok, i finally did it. and i discovered that it is IMPOSSIBLE with any of the aids on. traction control off. stability control off. control pad sensitivity turned all the way up. took me a couple tries to get acclomated to the new setup, but after a couple laps it just sort of happened. and i found that i went faster WITHOUT hitting any of the other cars. i needed to keep as much speed as possible or the looooooooong gearing in the maserati made it impossible to catch back up.

so i have my gt academy gt-r to prove i'm a gt5 bad@ss and i can return to my normal gt5 life. thanks for the guidance and time spent listening to me b!tch for a little while. i knew i could count on you guys!!
