Just 5 days out until the 2 Hours of Nurburgring. I might not be available to host an extra practice this week. It will depend if I'm on tomorrow Tuesday.

Oh you might have noticed I'm not awarding a fastest lap point for Gr.3 this race. Somehow Gr.3 ended up with the worst fuel range on average of the Gr classes with a possible exception for Gr.B. Some of the thirstier cars in Gr.3 might not be able to make 3 lap stints to be able to compete for the fastest lap point. So to be fair to everyone in the class no fastest lap point this race.

And yes all the Gr.4 cars can make at least lap 3 on fuel. I did not want drop the fuel multipler farther. Because the stints where too long for Gr.4 with what I wanted for the class.

Hey guys only 2 days until our next at the Nurburgring 24h course. Unfortunately while I will be on later tonight. I have stuff going for this afternoon and evening. Unless we get home earlier than expected. It will be to late for me to host a practice. Anyways see you in a couple of days.

Unfortunately I can't make the cool temperatures they are going to be racing in. But I've been watching the weather patterns for over there and it just got really interesting.

I'm going to try to make the race but our kids will be over for dinner tonight so I am not sure I will make it in time, I will have to try to kick them out early. Maybe I can just announce "we are going to go to bed now so that our guests can leave".

I would like to make this race, I have been practicing it for 2 weeks, I can lap the track without crashing but the laps are not fast, I think my best lap in BOP trim is 8:58 so far but I think a clean race is more important than faster laps.

I'm not sure for Gr.3 if that's a good time or not. Nor do I anyone else lap times. I'm running around 9:20 for Gr.4. Which I'm sure Michel-QC_21 will easily beat that. Keeping clean and not running dry are both very important here.
 
Nurburgring 24h race night. I've decided to push our start back 10 minutes. Both to allow those who enter after qualifying more time on track since qualifying will run late. And we might be waiting on a late arrival. I'll reset the room at 8:55pm and I will start no later than 9pm Eastern. Please be patient with traffic. It is a long lap to get repairs. Same if you run dry. You'll starting this race 85% for fuel. Your first stint might be a lap short.

Thank You everyone who attended tonights race. We are off next weekend. Next race is in 2 weeks. And is our inaugural race at Tokyo Expressway Central Counterclockwise. I have never hosted on this Tokyo layout before in GT7 or GT Sport.

I was watching some of the in car footage of Max at the 24 hours of Nurb and its incredible how well PD rendered Nurburgring, within a couple of turns at the maximum you can tell exactly where on track Max is. One thing that seems to be missing is the big bump from Nordshliefe to the GP circuit.

I was surprised to see how much slower the cars (at least my car) was in a lobby compared to custom races here. Normally thats where I do all of my practice and I set my custom race up exactly how the lobby will be set up. I was barely 160 on the long straight in the lobby and in custom races I was getting close to 170, I didnt check but maybe we were driving into a headwind on the straight last night.

It's possible that bump developed after Gran Turismo scanned the track. They repave the track in sections at a time. Because it's too long and too expensive to repave the full track in one year.

You are setting up with BOP on right? Otherwise I don't know. I would be amazed the wind was blowing down the straight the full race.

I am setting it up with BOP. Thats why I hate PD's implementation of BOP,,can't use the tune up sheets and when you make the final changes for the race you have to enter the track and then back out again to make your settings go back to default so you can re-enter them. Its infuriating.

There’s definitely a bump that almost kills you when transitioning from the GP to the Nur… it almost kills me everytime!😭
 
I notice that a lot in all the leagues I participate in, whether you test in custom race, TT, or make your own lobby, there is variance in performance and it may not even match up with what you get in the actual lobby on race day. I wonder if it comes down to uncontrollable variances in simulated wind, ambient temp, track temp, or if it's just some of PD's mystery operation at work.

Yeah I have a few grievances. Like how the race starts don't reset the time of day. I wouldn't have to do the room resets if it did. It's resets automatically when you start qualifying but, not the race.

Then there's the race finish delay timer having maximum limit 180 seconds. Yet they can automatically add on extra time for qualifying overtime but, not the race finish.

And I still don't understand how Gran Turismo decides how to score DNFs. celso9 left the room before Void_Chevalier. Yet celso9 is scored before Void_Chevalier.

I know that TT is not close because it doesn't simulate fuel load but custom race does.

I use TT mode when practicing sometimes.. you can pick the fuel and tire wear also to mimic what we do in league races.. I’m normally within a few tenths of my times on custom lobbies.
