Practice Lobby Open!
I'm going to try to make the race but our kids will be over for dinner tonight so I am not sure I will make it in time, I will have to try to kick them out early. Maybe I can just announce "we are going to go to bed now so that our guests can leave".Hey guys just 1 day until the 2 hours of Nurburgring. Oh I might try to mimic the weather patterns of the real race. At for wet conditions. Unfortunately I can't make the cool temperatures they are going to be racing in. But I've been watching the weather patterns for over there and it just got really interesting.
I would like to make this race, I have been practicing it for 2 weeks, I can lap the track without crashing but the laps are not fast, I think my best lap in BOP trim is 8:58 so far but I think a clean race is more important than faster laps.I'm going to try to make the race but our kids will be over for dinner tonight so I am not sure I will make it in time, I will have to try to kick them out early. You can't just disappear after dinner. I'm sure your wife can lock the door. I can hold a few minutes but, I won't start later than 9pm Eastern.I would like to make this race, I have been practicing it for 2 weeks, I can lap the track without crashing but the laps are not fast, I think my best lap in BOP trim is 8:28 so far but I think a clean race is more important than faster laps.
If I can get away to race I will make it by 7:45CSTYou can't just disappear after dinner. I'm sure your wife can lock the door. I can hold a few minutes but, I won't start later than 9pm Eastern.
I'm not sure for Gr.3 if that's a good time or not. Nor do I anyone else lap times. I'm running around 9:20 for Gr.4. Which I'm sure Michel-QC_21 will easily beat that. Keeping clean and not running dry are both very important here.
I was surprised to see how much slower the cars (at least my car) was in a lobby compared to custom races here. Normally thats where I do all of my practice and I set my custom race up exactly how the lobby will be set up. I was barely 160 on the long straight in the lobby and in custom races I was getting close to 170, I didnt check but maybe we were driving into a headwind on the straight last night.Race 11 Results

Scoring Notice: I've decided not to award fastest lap point to Gr.4 as well. The tire wear situation made it bit weird.
Scoring Notice 2: notarjy, Michel-QC_21, and TheColdWarriors have reached the maximum race score limit of 11 in their respective classes. They may gain score by besting previous scores. And can only earn what they best them by.

I was watching some of the in car footage of Max at the 24 hours of Nurb and its incredible how well PD rendered Nurburgring, within a couple of turns at the maximum you can tell exactly where on track Max is. One thing that seems to be missing is the big bump from Nordshliefe to the GP circuit.
You are setting up with BOP on right? Otherwise I don't know. I would be amazed the wind was blowing down the straight the full race.I was surprised to see how much slower the cars (at least my car) was in a lobby compared to custom races here. I am setting it up with BOP. Thats why I hate PD's implementation of BOP,,can't use the tune up sheets and when you make the final changes for the race you have to enter the track and then back out again to make your settings go back to default so you can re-enter them. Its infuriating. You are setting up with BOP on right? Otherwise I don't know. I would be amazed the wind was blowing down the straight the full race.

Yeah I have a few grievances. Like how the race starts don't reset the time of day. I wouldn't have to do the room resets if it did. It's resets automatically when you start qualifying but, not the race.I am setting it up with BOP. I know that TT is not close because it doesn't simulate fuel load but custom race does.I notice that a lot in all the leagues I participate in, whether you test in custom race, TT, or make your own lobby, there is variance in performance and it may not even match up with what you get in the actual lobby on race day. I wonder if it comes down to uncontrollable variances in simulated wind, ambient temp, track temp, or if it's just some of PD's mystery operation at work.
I use TT mode when practicing sometimes.. you can pick the fuel and tire wear also to mimic what we do in league races.. I’m normally within a few tenths of my times on custom lobbies.I know that TT is not close because it doesn't simulate fuel load but custom race does.
Is that something they recently changed with an update?I use TT mode when practicing sometimes.. you can pick the fuel and tire wear also to mimic what we do in league races.. I’m normally within a few tenths of my times on custom lobbies.
Yea that was a couple updates ago.Is that something they recently changed with an update?
The ability to use BOP was added to offline time trials in December with that big update. Is that something they recently changed with an update?
Hmm now that you mention it, in my mind I thought there was a mention inserted somewhere, but no...I don't remember how I found it lolMan I'm not use to the forum being this lively. And Void_Chevalier found the forum. Without me telling them we exist.
