The Croatian GP. Well from I can find. There's no record of Croatia ever hosting a F1 race. Though there's some talks about the country possibility building a new grade 1 race track. Despite Seaside being setup as the premier circuit. I choose Gardens because I find it the more difficult of the tracks. Dragon Trail Gardens is a very low grip race track even at max downforce. On track passing will likely be difficult. And tire grip will play a big factor. Which should lead to interesting pit strategies. Oh and rain is possible.

The official Spanish GP. Unlike unofficial practice race. This race will run on the Barcelona-Catalunya GP No Chicane. Because this layout is slightly longer. We loss 1 lap. The layout change will speed up the track along with hopefully increasing on track passing. Barcelona is notorious for difficult to pass. So qualifying and pit strategy will play a big factor. The good news is that rain is not possible at this race.

Hey guys just 2 day until our FormulaCar World Series Week 2 races. The Croatian Grand Prix at Dragon Trail Gardens and the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona-Catalunya GP No Chicane. I definitely feel Dragon Trail Gardens will be the more difficult track this week. Just trying to keep the car planted on the very low grip surface is challenge in itself.

Tomorrow night is our FormulaCar World Series Week 2 races at Dragon Trail Gardens and Barcelona-Catalunya GP No Chicane. And I've decided to get sick with a cold I think. So this week will be fun. Didn't leave myself many postponement dates. Everyone always wants to ask race drivers how they deal with bathroom issues in the car. I'm more curious about coughing, sneezing, and eye irritation issues. Or any other involuntary actions by your body. Anyways see you tomorrow.

FormulaCar World Series Week 2 Race Night. Tonight is Race 3 the Croatian Grand Prix at Dragon Trail Gardens. A compact very low grip race track. This race comes with a chance of rain. Make sure you have wets. And Race 4 the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona-Catalunya GP No Chicane. A flowing race track with a lot of long turns. Notorious for being difficult to pass at. Anyways see you guys in a few hours.

Oh right reminder we are off this week. So I can watch the NASCAR Cup Bristol Night Race this Saturday. Week 3 for the FormulaCar World Series is next Saturday 9/26 with the French Grand Prix at Le Mans and the Blue Moon Bay 150.

Also I'm lending to the Hypercars for the 2027 Winter Springs endurance series. They seem very popular at the moment. They also have a smaller selection than the LMP1. So it will be much easier for me to do a manufacturers series championship with the drivers. Also since the Hypercars are available to purchase new at anytime. I'm considering limiting the availability of each car to even out teams and make the manufacturers championship more competitive. So I suggested buy 1 of each.

Hypercars
BMW M Hybrid V8 '25
Ferrari 499P '23
Peugeot 9X8 '25
Porsche 963 '24
Toyota GR010 Hybrid '21

Also reminder and notice to those of new. Of our Group C Christmas Endurance Classic coming up in December. Yes I finally came up a better name. The year race has been move to Sugo. The Sugo Inter 250 Miles. Half distance of the real race. The Group C cars must be bought in legends when available. I recommend picking up one of these cars below before mid December. I recommend more than for options.

Group C
Jaguar XJR-9 '88
Mazda 787B '91
Mercedes Sauber C9 '89
Nissan R92CP '92
Porsche 962C '88

Oh an interesting note. The Nissan R92CP default aero setup is now different for the other 4 Group C cars. I don't know why Gran Turismo did so.

Hey 2 days until our FormulaCar World Series Week 3 races. The French Grand Prix at Le Mans and the Blue Moon Bay 150 on the oval. This is our fastest weekend by average speed.

The French Grand Prix. While I need little reason to race at my favorite race track. Le Mans Endurance was not my 1st choice. I originally going was looking at either the A or B layouts for Sainte-Croix. As the lake or seaside view seemed very F1. However I choose to fail them because of the bumps. In particular the big bump going onto the bridge. Which can get the cars airborne. And they didn't always stick the landing. I don't feel Alsace Village races well at this performance. Did a test race there anyways but, I was unimpressed.

Formula 1 does a brief history at the Le Mans facility. Just not on the Endurance. F1 made 1 stop using the permanent Le Mans Bugatti layout in 1967. But this layout does not race well for cars. Even back in then. And they have never return. A real Formula 1 race on the Le Mans Endurance layout will probably forever remain a dream. As the track greatly exceeds F1 maximum circuit length. Technically so does Spa-Francorchamps but, barely in that case.

The Le Mans Endurance layout is a 8.47 miles long high speed road course / road circuit. Fill with both long straights and very of low, mid, and high speed corners. Layout uses both permanent circuit and public roads to the immediate South of the city of Le Mans. Which has been paved with different pavements up until 2026 race. Which explains the different grip levels. While straights take priority. There are too many high speed corners on the modern circuit to completely ignore at this performance. I recommend a light but, not minimal downforce package. Also minimize time in the pits while maximizing tire grip. Oh and beware corner penalties are on strong for this race.

The Blue Moon Bay 150. The Blue Moon Bay Oval is a 3 turn oval track just barely under 2 miles in length. This is more than likely based off my nearest major racing facility unique large 3 turn oval known as Poconos Raceway. The real facility generally host Nascar along with IndyCar on and off. And probably never again. Anyways the Blue Moon Oval is .51 miles shorter than Pocono. And the profile of the turns is different from the real life track with maybe an exception for turn 3. All the turns at Pocono are based off of turns from other race tracks. The real life Turn 1 is based off turn 1 of the now defunct Trenton Speedway. Turn 2 is based off Indianapolis, and turn 3 is based the Milwaukee Mile. What might be the oldest permanent motor racing track in the world. Anyways I believe Gran Turismo used this concept and used different turns from different race tracks than the Poconos used.

The Blue Moon Bay Oval is a 1.99 miles 3 turn high speed triangle shaped oval. Each turn has a completely different profile. Turn 2 is almost non existent due the high banking. Which means you only need to focus on turns 1 and 3. Turn 1 is the sharpest turn on the race. And is a moderate to heavy braking zone depending on how much your needs to slow down. Turn 3 might be the most important on the turn track. As determines how important downforce is. For F3500s this turn easy flat. In this case recommend a minimal downforce package. You'll lose some speed in turn 1 but, along it's not important enough to sacrifice speed from the the rest of the track.

See you Saturday.

Alright FormulaCar World Series race night Week 3. See you soon.

Practice for the French Grand Prix Open!

Thank you everyone who attended tonight races. The replays have been posted. We are off again next week because of IMSA final Petite Le Mans. After that we get 3 active weeks in row. Starting with Week 4 the Canadian Grand Prix at Gilles-Villeneuve and the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch GP. There's no threat of rain for Week 4. I'll to points as soon as I can. See you in 2 weeks.

Hey guys reminder we are off this week. So you can watch the end IMSA's Petit Le Mans. We have 3 weeks in a row after this. Enjoy your holidays.

Just 5 days left our FormulaCar World Series week 4 races. The Canadian Grand Prix at Gilles-Villeneuve and the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch GP. It doesn't rain at either of these race tracks according to Gran Turismo. No break before week 5. Week 5 is the Belgium Grand Prix and Austrian Grand Prix. At Spa and Red Bull. Both of them do have a chance of rain.

Hi all! I have a quick question about lobbies and online racing: which Boost Setting is most advised?

I don't use boost for this league. As I try to provide a more realistic experience. It's entirely up to you realistic you wish to make your league.

Hey guys just 1 day until our FormulaCar World Series Week 4 races. The race 7 Canadian Grand Prix will use Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. A semi permanent circuit that has been used for the Canadian Grand Prix since 1978 with exception of 1987. Gilles-Villeneuve is a relatively flat and bumpy stop go style circuit. Contesting of mostly low and mid speed corners coupled by straights of various lengths. The hairpin here is the slowest turn on our schedule. A low downforce package is recommended.

Race 8 the British Grand Prix. While both Goodwood and Brands Hatch have hosted F1 Grand Prix in the past. Brands Hatch has hosted more Grand Prix and has done so more recently. Along with a history of hosting Indy and Cart in the past as well. Brands Hatch has last hosted F1 in 1986. The tracks nature along with it's unfriendly neighbors problem. Unlikely F1 will ever return. Anyways Brands Hatch is narrow short technical and very hilly with some stop go elements. The 2nd shortest road course on the schedule. Straights are short. A high downforce package is recommended. And the track has a tendency to amplify understeer.
