8/1/26, 25km Kart Sprint Races

A series of Kart races for fun. Each race will be 1st lap pass 25 km (15.53 Miles). Races tour mostly of various short tracks. With some fun surprises. Contact and wall penalties will be used for this event. Since GT7 doesn't allow mechanical damage with Karts online. And I want some kind of consequence for hitting other cars and walls. Tire wear and fuel consumption are not allowed either but, I'm still working within the Kart's limited range anyways. Lobby will open at 7pm Eastern as usual. Races will be on a 10 minutes auto start timer.

Regulations and Settings
Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 Shifter Only
Sports Softs Only

Tuning Allowed
Slipstream and Grip Real

Oh my brother's birthday is this weekend. There's a chance I will have to postpone this event depending on what day we doing stuff for his birthday.

My plan for next week is an old school Gran Turismo tuning challenge. All out American Road Cars tunes. This will work similar to the final week of Corvette Festival. American road cars only. No race cars, professional tuned, or VGTs allowed. This is a build it yourself challenge. Also engine swaps will not be allowed. Anything else is fine. If you can only build 1 car. I recommend you make sure it can equipped dirt tires. I have 5 races in mind. All US tracks so no rain. Which includes stops and Colorado Springs and Fisherman's Ranch. Full details TBA.

Also I'm likely going to have to open late for out Karts event this week. I'm going to have to go out cut grass Saturday. It has rained and stormed here for over week now. This Friday and Saturday are the only days in near future that don't show rain yet. We are doing stuff for my brother's birthday Friday. And it's supposed to rain all next week. So I'm not given at choice. I'm not sure which races I'll cut yet. If there's any races you particularly interested in let me know sooner than later.

Kart racing night guys. I will be opening late tonight. I should be able to open before 9pm Eastern.

Next week the Richmond Saturday night race for Nascar. Unfortunately I can't watch it without live TV. Anyways do you'll want a test day next week 8/15/26 for the FormulaCar World Series? The league starts 8/22/26. Opening week is Fuji and Broad Bean.

I plan to be back home for 8/15 and will try to join anything you have planned. A test session would be useful for sure, also happy to just race again.

Does anyone know of a track that use the fictional sponsor Urban Estates for sponsorship? I want to know what color background they use for it. I'm considering using Urban Estates as a primary for a new original livery.

Hey guys tomorrow night is our last summer fun event American All Out. A chance to run some of your favorite American road car tunes with little restrictions. The only tuning option ban is engine swaps. Because I didn't want racing engines and non American engine packages. Remember American road cars only. No race cars, Professional Tuned, or VGTs.

This is the first time I've hosted on dirt tracks in GT7 or GT Sport for that matter. So I kept the 2 races short. I'm considering using some off road tracks next year for the fall league. So I wanted to test the waters beforehand. I'm not pleased with how Gr.B class works on off road tracks. Which is why I didn't go that route for an introduction.

As for the other 3 races this week. Daytona will be seen in little a different light. The speeds will be high enough that handling will be a factor. You'll want a very small amount of downforce to keep the car planted. And want increase ride height to prevent the car from bottoming out.

Willow Springs Big Willow. The historic Big Willow might be the most original road course left on the planet. The layout has not been changed at since the track was built 1953. The track is filled with a lot of long duration mid and high speed corners. High downforce is a most to increase cornering speeds and stability. The short straightaways and limited heavy braking zones can make passing difficult. A good pit strategy can matter a lot here. All Racing compounds are available. Use them how you wish.

Some good old American short track racing to end the night. Due to the high wear nature of Northern Isle. The cars will be on Sports Softs for this race. Car management, developing a rhythm, and having aggressively patient mindset towards traffic are keys here. Bottoming is a concern here as well. Of course high downforce as well. I recommend a car that handles and rotates well. And gives you options of where you can drive the corners.

Can we switch cars for different tracks?

Alright guys bring your best American car tunes tonight. Next week we'll do a full test weekend for the FormulaCar World Series league. I'm going to run like a standard weekend for the league. Exception the 2 races will be none scoring rounds.

I wont be there for the first dirt race, kinda early and dirt aint my favorite, I think PD kinda has the physics all out of kilter, to put it mildly. Probably not as bas as drifting but it is far from good.

Thank you everyone who attended tonight. All 5 replays posted in game.

Next is our test week for the upcoming FormulaCar World Series league. Which I'm calling Week 0. Will be using 2 of the tracks on the schedule but, different layouts from points scoring races. Formula 1 does allow controlled pre season testing at tracks on the schedule. IndyCar generally does not allow pre season testing at tracks on the schedule. So this meets somewhere between.

Anyways will be using Barcelona GP with chicane and High Speed Ring Reverse for the week 0 test week. This will allow 1r oad course and 1 oval rule set race. Along with using both start types. More details as so as possible.

Under regulations it says "no PP limit" then later on it says "max PP 985" ???????

Hey guys 3 days until our test week for the FormulaCar World Series. This will operate like a race night for league. Exception the races are non scoring. And you may freely change your car during and after this week. You will be locked to your ride after your first points race. Which will Fuji and onwards. Full tuning is allowed. I recommend adding a custom transmission. Yes you may use the expensive one.

For all road course races. There will be a tire mandate. You must use 2 of the 3 different dry tire compounds during the race. In order to allow freedom of choice. I will be policing this myself. If it rains and the water surface indicator gauge reaches and or passing the first bar. A wet track is declared and the tire mandate is canceled that point of the race. Even if you don't actually to change to wets.

Oh right ovals which will include High Speed Ring for this league. Will be Racing Hards Only. So there is no tire mandate for them. The races at HSR will use pre set weather to prevent it from raining.

Hey guys another reminder of our FormulaCar World Series test week this Saturday August 15th. We are running 2 non points races at Barcelona GP with the chicane and High Speed Ring Reversed. One with the road course rules package and one with the oval rule package. I will not be home Friday. But I can be contacted by the PSN app or the GT Planet forum if needed.
