I've been looking into the Attack Gran Turismo DVD. (If anyones got a copy let me know). One Of the games designers (can't remember which) does a hot lap round Trial Mountain (free run) in a bog standard NSX S-zero (even down to the normal tyres).

Anyone think they can beat his time??

Its quick thats all I can remember......... I know I've got it written down some where......I'll post it when i've found it.

Never seen that one but heres my attempt

1.37.301 with racing setup.

Not bad :)

The time set by one of the GT producers is 1:33.952 set using a GT force wheel

My current best lap is 1:35.125 :) in a bog standard all be it run in S-Zero using a DS2. The lap still contained a lot of sliding around so I know I can go faster.........

Cool ,I reckon I can knock more of my time I only did a few laps.

Will anyone else take up the challenge??

Wouldn't having a racing set up make your NSX inelligible?

Does it show the mileage?

i love the nsx. doing it right now.

i forgot though......... trial mountain is one of my most hated tracks. well i f'ed around for about 30min. did a 137 right away. and eventually came to my best of 1:35.294. I see graveltrap has me by about a tenth, so i will have to go back later and bring it down more.

my favorite thing in gt3 to do is to take the stock nsx to monaco. thats a fun track with this car.

I had a try at this. This run had no wall taps, runoffs, or shortcutting.

Got a 1:33.365 :trouble:

This run had a few litttle mistakes in it so I'm sure some of the faster guys could get down in the low 1:32's.:D Personally, if I kept at it I would probably be able to break 1:33, but not without a lot more effort.

Here's my replay for NTSC users, I used DS2 with MT :

Hey I'll give this a try. Hey would a couple of guys be interseted in my challenge? The Challenge has been changed to $20,003. But you'll have to read the thread. The post that give the right information are about 3/4 of the way down.

No the game was in arcade mode and the car wasnt mine it was off the list of cars provided, when I said''racing set up''I meant racing as opposed to drift.:)

I am going to have to put in a better lap in now the challenge is on.

Were we supposed to use the arcade car for this? I used a stock sim S-Zero that I bought and then went to arcade free run...I don't even know if it makes a difference or not. I would think it would be the same but I've never really thought about it.:odd:

I dont think it makes a difference.

By the way nice car in your avatar, used to have an MX-5 in red meself.👍

good to see some intrest in this now :) the car I used was one from my GT mode garage under free run in arcade mode....havent had time to run again but good to see a 1:33 ;)

Hey, graveltrap, I might give this a run (Trial Mountain is my best track), but could you please make sure (you should be able to tell) that the guy from PD isn't using the Arcade NSX Type S Zero? There is a difference in cars and you can change the ASM and TCS much more subtly on the garage car.

I had ASM and TCS completely off, so tht would'nt be any different.:D If you know of any other specific differences, would you care to explain? I am curious...:odd:

Hey Arwin not sure if the guy from PD was using and arcade or sim car only got a screen shot of the intro to the lap on the attack GT DVD from an old UK PS2 mag. They printed the time in the short feature on the DVD. Lets just make it a sim car unless anyones got any other info.....hmmm maybe need to carry out more research ;)

Yes, there are certainly other differences. For instance, the tires on arcade cars are unlike any other kind of tires; you can see in MKS that they have their own code. Also, with sim cars you can play around with the oil, refreshing the oil to achieve maximum performance, which you can't with Arcade cars. Stuff like that.
