While talking to the insurance company today about my Pickup and its hail damage I got put on hold for quite a long time. On hold, I booted up the PS2 and went to the car store and scored a S13 (2000cc). I had been driving one constantly for the past day, beefing up for the drift competition, and I decided to see what I could do with a stock one with just sims on it. The video below is what I did after 7-8ish miles driving it.

Scope it out, tell me whatcha think =)

Its actually a Gza song, but Meth does steal the show =)

I was planning on using a Bone Thug song, but I figured I'd save that for later usage where I could use the full song.

I don't like bone thugs that much.. they got wicked beats (no contest!!) but I don't like wrecking my brain trying to figure the lyrics out... I just don't feel THAT part...

Nice drifts.......needs a soundtrack though.....wait....forgot to turn my speakers on......good choice in music

Sorry to hear about your PU getting destroyed by good ol' Ma Nature. I guess she's a Chevy girl after all.
Might have been spared if it was a SVT Lightning.....:odd:

Hail damage was from a year and a half ago. It was just my daily driver and I didnt care too much. Trying to get it fixed so I can sell the thing and start working on getting a 91 240sx SE.

IDK if I could part with a truck that way....I ran my last one into the ground.......but I had soooo much fun doing it!!!!!!:D

Well, who is hosting your vid, because it shouldn't take this long to download a 20mb vid. I'm on DSL, and it's taking forever. Anyway, I made a similiar vid with all stock Silvias (S13, RPS13, and S14), If anyone wants to check it out, I will upload it again.;)

Midphase is my company I deal with for my web traffic. They're cheap, have a 50GB a month limit for bandwidth, and give you a free domain name. I've not had any problems dloading from them but I heard they just suffered an attack a few days ago so they may be recovering from that.

Glad you liked my video Battle =)

Great job bro! Video and music quality were superb:tup:👍👍👍.
Drifting a stock silvia on that track is to me somewhat impossible. Cant handle it somehow.. Makes me even more suprised..

The d/l was going @ 800-950Kb/sec for me so took me just over 20 secs to get down.

It's nice to see some rappers are up into drifting, eveybody says it's not welcomed in racing and that rock and heavy metal makes you more agressive, I agree on the point agressive but it makes you stressed too and rap well it relax you and you're more in a groove for playing, don't you think?

The drifts were ok, for it being stock. I think with some more practice, you can get some more angle in your drifts, but other than that, good job. Also, Trial Mountain is quite easy with a stock Silvia, it all comes down to understanding weight transfer and delicate throttle control.;)

is that the S13 2000c ?

Ya, I didnt try the one with the CA18DET in it. The stock thing was something I was just messing around with, its too frustrating for me to make a full time thing, especially drifting uphill.

I actually listen to alot of Joe Satch and Yngwie Malmsteen when I play. Its something I just started doing recently, but I've found if I'm more relaxed I dont try to do too much and mess everything up.

What kind of music (Joe Satch and Yngwie Malmsteen)?
Also, keep practicing drifting stock to mild upgrade (intake and exhaust, chip, suspension, drivetrain), cars. It's the only way to get a good understanding of the cars base level handling characteristics IMO. This also helps you better understand the tuning necessary for each individual car IMO.;)

Satch and Malmsteen are guitar virtuosos. You've probably heard Satch before and did know it, I'm sure everyones heard Summer Song once or twice. Malmsteen is more of a guitarist for guitarists, as its kinda hard to appreciate his music w/out being a guitarist yourself.

I never take cars above 350HP (most are 250, the HP that my S14 I had IRL had, infact the only 2 350 cars I have are the 2 RX-7's) for drifting, I feel its cheating. Upgrades usually consist of mostly the S-Tune parts, I try to make it more realistic and challenging. This handicap is also probably why alot of my stuff is sub-average compared to other people who have drifted as long as I have.

Thanks for the info, I'll check them out. Also, realistic is the way to go, so I say keep at it. ;)

Malmsteen is the ****!!!!!! he was my guitar hero for the longest time.......but then again, I grew up in the era where EVERY lead guitarist from ANY band was either a Eddie or an Yngwie clone. I got pretty sick of it by the time "Alternative" music invaded MTV......I saw Nirvana and jumped off the couch going: "Yes!!! I don't have to listen to Skid Row anymore!!!!!"

Yngwie is cool, lil arrogant, but still an awesome neo-class shredder. Regardless of what he does, I doubt he'll take Randy Rhoads' place in my heart. Revelation (Mother Earth), each time I hear the solo for that I wonder what could have become of Randy if he didnt step on the plane.

He'd probably visit GTP, shrug his shoulders, and go back to writing songs on his Roland VG-8.:sly:
