I've been wondering if anyone else would want to suggest to the developers of GT5 to reconfigure the ratio's when selecting the fully custom transmission for the s2000. All the cars that I use the stock ratio's in the full custom trans. are the same as the stock trans. when applied (except the s2000). Every time I put the stock ratio's they're too long, meaning it has more mph/kph per gear then its supposed to.

The purpose of me doing that is to put a different final ratio as you would in real life, but the 6 gears remain the same. I've read in different area's on the internet that the s2000 has a secondary gear ratio after the trans., which alters the ratio afterwords.

I'm curious how I should go about this, but I do understand that it may not bother most people... Thank you

There are cars which in real life have a secondary final gear ratio that in GT PD forgot to put, resulting in extra long gears. These are mainly standard cars, there are a few of them.
As they've been in this state since GT4, I doubt PD will do anything for them.

As for your specific problem, just multiply the real life car's primary final gear by the secondary final gear, and put the resulting value in the GT5 final gear ratio setting. You should obtain correct gear ratios.

Thanks for trying to help, but I want to change the final ratio as you would in real life. A "final gear kit" made by J's Racing for example. I'm simply not looking for this "kit" specifically in the game, only giving a means to understand better what I seek for (making the gear ratio's correct). I hope I don't sound like I'm insulting you..

I guess what I'm asking for is, I don't know how to address this problem at the source to PD. Such as when there was a problem with the drivetrain in the Evolution X, but its fixed now.

Thanks again, for your help :)

Doesn't the modern Cooper S have a funky split gearbox that uses one final drive for 1st-4th and a second final drive for 5th and 6th that reuses two of the previous gears? I seem to recall something about it saving space, allowing the 6 tacked onto the back of the engine to be as wide as the 5 in the Mini One.
