Saab's future remains in doubt, so it's refreshing to learn that Flash Engineering has unveiled their new 9-3 TTA race car.
Set to compete in the Swedish Racing Elite League,
the model has an aggressive body kit with new bumpers,
flared wheel arches and revised side skirts. There's also a ventilated hood,
a rear diffuser and a massive wing.
Four vehicles will be built and they will be fielded

Pity its not based on the 9-5, something more current.

I'm sure many racing teams here and there will be using Saab's for many years to come but sadly that doesn't help the main company other than maintaining some marketing exposure.

Wow, that wing looks weird, seeing as it's being supported from above rather than below.

i can see how it might actually work out pretty well (in my head at least, but that can be a fairly scary place)

wonder what the exact physics and changes would be with that spoiler?
anyone know?

I know very little about aero but I'm going to try to guess here. The support's above the spoiler look like they would aid keeping air from moving laterally along the wing in corners. also maybe they aid in straight line stability.

That looks like a gorgeous bit of kit! Such a shame that Saab are no longer with us :-( any info on the engine, and power outputs this beauty will be packing?

I think all cars are going to have a ~3.5 liter V6 with a hybrid system putting out something near 420 bhp.

And I think it looks great, I'm thinking about going to the race here in Gothenburg when the series starts.

No, as in hybric electric. That it uses a petrol engine (in this case) hooked up to a system similar to KERS in Formula 1.

The TTA cars are all exactly the same tubeframe car. The only difference is the badge. Citroën
