So we've got NASCAR confirmed and for a lot of us Europeans it'll be the first time playing a NASCAR game.
What can we expect?
I'm just watching the recent race at Infineon and it looks quite good, although quite long. I suppose it's different at a bowl track.
What gets me though is the frequent safety car deployments. Pretty much every ten minutes the pack is bunched up and they effectively start the race again.
Now that benefits a player in that it'll give you a chance to catch up if the leaders have got away from you. It also means that if you storm off in the lead that you'll end up with everyone catching you again at some point (which could make races more interesting if you have a significant performance advantage).
Will they bring this to GT5? If not will it be the full NASCAR experience? Will it be auto-drive behind the safety car? Can you fast forward it? What would trigger it considering no-one's safety is actually at risk?
Also if they have an F1 style series of 'Polyphony Digital', 'Ferrari' and any other F1 cars will they put the safety car on that series?
Please note: this is not another thread about whether NASCAR should be included in GT5, I wouldn't have chosen it but I'm quite looking forward to it now!
