Former Formula One driver Mika Salo is set to test a Ferrari Formula One car later this year. The Finn, who ended his F1 career with Toyota revealed that a contract he has signed with the Maserati FIA GT team includes a guarantee that he will test a Formula One car.

"They guarantee I'll do at least one test with an F1 car each year," Salo was quoted as saying by Autosport. "I really wanted this put in my contract and they accepted it so I'm really happy."

Salo raced for Ferrari in 1999 as a substitute for Michael Schumacher who had broken his leg
I don't think it'll lead to anything but it's interesting none-the-less.

Various media reports published the news that Mika Salo has an option in his FIA GT contract with Maserati that offers him a one-day test with the Ferrari Formula One team. The Ferrari Formula One team is denying the news though.

"There is not anything true of what has been said about this subject," a Ferrari spokesperson told F1Racing.net. "Our official test drivers are Luca Badoer and Marc Gené, who can be occasionally joined by Andrea Bertolini."

Seems it didn't lead to anything

Maybe they guaranteed him 1 "crash test" a year when they make their safety test :)
