Heres the deal, right now im doing suzuka 1000km race... about half in the race it slowly began to rain, i drove in pit and the computer recommended intermediate, well on they go and back on track... it didnt helped me a damn thing...

dry Normal time in 1 lap on soft : 1.35-1.40...
raining a little on soft 1 lap in : 1.55-2.15
same just on intermediate : 1.55- 2.15

then it began raining heavily and the computer recommended rain, on they go and back on track... same story... time 1.55-2.15..

The rain tires didnt helped a damn ****... -.-

the car acted precisly the same way on each set of tires in rain... and the lap times are the same... touch x just a bit while turning, bang spin out... braking and turning, same...

rain/intermediate are supposed to transport all the water away so the tire can get more grip in the rain, so why isnt it? just me having that problem?

Regards, :)

There's already another thread on this:

I assume you are running the F1 car? Or do you have some other prototype racer (Minolta)?

Anyway, I've found that in any sort of wet the Intermediates are fastest. The full rain tires are slow. With my F1 car in pouring rain I could run a low 1:50's with the Intermediates but only like a mid 1:50's with the rains (much harder to control). However, BOTH should be faster than the dry racing tires.

I don't have a ton of experience in the game with a damp track, but a lot of times full dry tires can still be faster in real life. You need a full wet with standing water (except in the game, where intermediates are fastest), and you need an intermediate where parts of the track are dry but others are truly still wet. However, dry tires will work, even full slicks, if the track is just damp.

Its not quite the same im writing about...the are just talking about diff. in intermediate and full wets :)

The dry tires are as good as intermediate and full wets in heavy rain and "normal" rain.. thats the problem...

Im full aware of when to use what set of tires :) But its seems like there isnt any diffenrence between each set... if there is the difference is simply to small, the way it should have been is like, on soft tires in rain and heavy rain it should slip and spin very very easy...
and for example in rain you should get nearly the same amount of grip with intermediate that you can get with soft in dry weather, maybe with a few seconds slower lap times in rain....

you get my point?
you should get a lot more grip with intermediate and full wets in rain than youve get now...

feeling its hard to explain my point fully since im not english and not perfect at the written language ;) Hope you understand me hehe

Edit:

Lets say soft dry = 100% grip.. then in real life (lets say that)
in heavy rain full wets would give 90% grip
Intermediate would give 50% grip and soft 10%...

in the game its in heavy rain soft give 20% intermediate gives 40% and full wets gives 30%...

see? Just to sketch it up :)
