Welcome to the San Andreas race community. This is the place to host races, or ask one from me.

We'll do the premade in-game races first, and maybe some made up races where honesty comes in. Please do NOT lie about your time. There will be races with specific routes, and races with checkpoints where YOU get to decide how to get there.

Also, list a car you favor, so that if you ask for a job (race), I can plan it around your vehicle's capabilities.

I haven't done any racing yet in the game, but this sounds like a cool idea. But it might take a while before people starting getting into the whole scene. It wasn't till I had 100% in Vice City that I started getting into doing the street races.

Has anyone done the race(s?) in the stadium near Ganton yet? I've been told to come back when my driving skill is high enough. Does anyone know how high I need to get it?

No idea, I haven't even looked yet. I've seen it, but haven't tried. There's so many things to do, I just can't get around to it all!

Nice Thread TurboLevin, but you'll have to wait for alot of people to get through some missions before this gets regular posters.

I don't prefer any car, I drive any really. But one thing, make some races how Cesar's Lowrider Race was. For example, in Cesar's race, you could bring any Lowrider. So, if you want a NOS race, bring any car with NOS. Heavy Vehicle Races, Boat Races, and so on.

Another idea TurboLevin: Make deadlines for each race to be done by, and then the top 3 get 3, 2 and 1 points, respectively. So, it can be a sort of Ladder. That way, we can see who is outright leading.


Make sure that when you do any of these Races, to specify which cars are allowed.

KM -- this will be a test now, seeing that the handling is different. You might not be 'Top Dog' anymore. :lol: Plus, I think there are going to be a lot of regulars here now, so it's going to be very interesting.
 
I have gone in the race in the stadium near Ganton. Its called the super 8 or curcuit 8 or something with 8 in it. Its 12 laps of a figure 8 with like 12 car. Its pretty tricky, i havent even finished it yet.
 
Anybody do the race where you meet Woozie for the first time (or Catalina and that dude from GTA3) ?

How did anybody do the hairpin turns? I kinda just slowed down cause my driving sucks and I flew off on my first run, but did anybody do a great turn on it? Maybe a drift of some sort?

I'm not even sure this should be here but hey... it was a race...

I might have beat you in the Lowrider Race KM. I think I might have got 1:30. I used a Voodoo. I'm not sure, don't quote me on it. It's either that or 1:35.

Also, dori-san, TurboLevin had this thread planned for a very long time. We were talking about it quite a long time ago, sorry to say. I'll quote Spuds: "You snooze, you lose!" :lol: Just kidding, bud. Tough break. You have to be quick around here.

Well, there's nothing stopping someone else from starting a new improved racing thread.

But I'd like to see people's times for the various races they've done so far.

For me I got:
Lowrider Race - 1:31
Badlands A - 3:14
Badlands B - 3:27

Anyone done the 8-track yet? Heres my times for that:
Best Time - 5:11
Best Lap - 0:24
 
Oh man did I kick ass in these Races. I'm taking your Vice City Crown KM! :lol: (Until someone kicks my ass here)

Lowrider Race: 1:22
Badlands A: 3:04
Badlands B: 3:13

Haven't tried the 8-Track yet.

EDIT: TurboLevinNV -- I suggest making a leaderboard. Place the Top 3 people in each race. For Example:

Lowrider Race
1. Leader
2. 2nd Place
3. 3rd Place

Then put in the Badlands A, Badlands B, 8-Track and other races.
 
Are the Lowrirder and Badlands races repeatable? I did them for the missions but I'd like to be able to go back and try them again.

I didn't look for the start circles but I did not see any icons on the map-- I hope I can find the B site again--I failed the A one enough times I could find it easily (I kept trying to put the other drivers in the water and ended up there myself)--

If they aren't there now, maybe you reopen them with completing the storyline or getting 100%.

I got the same time as KM on the lowrider race 1:34 --I didn't note my times on badlands races--I haven't completed 8-track yet...kept blowing up my car.

Apparently Jimmy has gone insane.... :lol: KM = driving king :bowdown: --- just give him some time.

Just give the US one simple task, Elect a president--- and we can't even do that... PS....I live in Ohio.. 🤬

Give me 50 or so attempts to fine tune those races and we'll see whose king then. :dopey:

I'll make a leaderboard as soon as we get some more times, I wouldn't want to revise the board over and over becuase of new people posting faster times.

I'm a little above average in speed.....:lol: don't expect to many mind blowing times from me :D
 
i'll put my times up when i get home, but i found the 8-track race in Ganton very difficult. I've tried it about 3 times and personally, the hotring racers blows. The arena event in SF took me quite a while also. these types of things seem to be much harder than the previous games, to me anyways. except for the street races, I did the first badlands race with a Sabre and beat it with a big lead the first time.
