Did any one watch the race in Sao Paulo, Brazil today? I won't say who won it but it was interesting to say the least. There was plenty of action... more than normal for an F1 race. I thought a certain driver would have won it if not for his car giving out. The end of the race was very exciting despite who actually came in first. If you haven't seen the race yet I suggest watching the replay of it if you can find out when it is on.

Yeah. There was so much water. I also thought Barachelo would would. Didn't he experience problems the last couple times he ran that race too?

I'm still surprised Kimi is still in first place. WTF happened to M. Shumacher?

I'd say the new qualifying rules have kept him out of a good finishing position in races. I like that but I hate the new fuel rule. It's ridiculous.

It didn't in Brazil - he was in absolutely prime position until he fell off at turn 3 (admittedly along with a few others).

That's the easy conclusion to jump to, but you'd be ignoring the facts. Let's review:

Australia: M.Schumacher 4th after starting on the wrong tyres, then breaking the barge boards on his car and being shown black-and-orange. 4 pit stops.

Malaysia: M.Schumacher 6th after hitting Trulli in Turn 2, Lap 1. Pits for new nose, then drive-through penalty. 4 pit stops.

Brazil: M.Schumacher DNF (Accident).

I don't see that these are anything to do with the qualifying rules, unless you're alledging that without the fuel in the car during qualifying, he'd have been on pole in Malaysia and thus wouldn't have T-boned Trulli, which is not entirely accurate. Remember (a) that Schuey WAS on pole in Australia, (b) that he hit Montoya in Turn 1, Lap 1 of Malaysia 2002. Also, I would have said that he was a strong candidate for the win in Malaysia had he not thown it at the hedge.

Yes, it certainly was an exciting race. A couple of things got my emotions running high.

The first thing was, of course, that Mark Webber spun it then managed to get it together (absolutely brilliant piece of driving). When I saw that he's lost it, I put my hands over my eyes. When I saw that he'd stayed in one piece, I cried. True to God, I cried.

The second was when Webber lost it again and hit the wall. I sat in shock until I remembered the rulle - go back two laps to determine the winner. When I remembered that, I jumped up and ran madly around the room, because, of course, Webber was in 7th when they announced the positions two laps back - good for 2 points!!

Rubens is in bad luck mode. DNF 9 times in Bbrazil already.

Ok, I agree with you there. I guess I forgot about some of those. Perhaps some of his DNFs, mishaps, etc are due to track conditions/driver error/etc? I do realize I wasn't entirely correct. I have no idea what I was thinking at the time I originally posted that. Yes, the fuel idea is a little bit ridiculous but it isn't entirely ruining F1. It(the new qualifying rules) has led to teams with less powerful cars to get better grid positions, right?

EDIT: I am by no means an expert on Formula 1, as this is the second season I've been following it.
