I'll keep this short and sweet. After losing my save file with my treasured CLK-GTR from the first time I did the Sarthe I race, I've decided to try again, but this time using one of my old favorites, the BMW McLaren F1 GTR.

Without further adieu, here is the entry list.

1 - Pescarolo Courage C60 '03
2 - Nissan R390 GT1 '98
3 - Audi R8 '01
4 - Bentley Speed 8 03'
5 - Panoz Esperante GTR-1 '98
6 - BMW McLaren F1 GTR '97.

Sounds challenging,or is it tuned?I say that because a stock one according to GTVault 642BHP stock.Any way, good luck!

The Audi may give you some serious competition, but you should be able to beat it. It's a good thing you aren't trying to 200-point the race with this car, because a member of the 111813 point club needed the R89C in the race to get full points, and had an extremely stressful race, especially once the chassis became bent. Good luck. 👍

Is it even possible to win this race with the F1 GTR? Especially against the pit-shy Pescarolo. I will keep an eye on this thread, as I'm very interested. Good luck 👍

Of course it's possible. In fact, it's been done before - the race report is here. While it's true that it was an extremely close race, it was also against a field that contained a much faster car than any Hyst is facing, and the driver made some costly strategy errors. Also, all of the fast LMPs (Audi, Pescarolos, etc.) pit every eight laps while only the slow ones (GT-ONE, etc.) pit every nine, so the opponents' pit strategy doesn't come into play.

Jeez, it's been almost a month since he started this thread. Hyst, are you alive? lol

Has anyone else ever noticed the fighter jets with red, blue and white smoke flighing overhead jsut as you start this race?!!! I just saw them now!

Yeah. They actually do this at the start of the 24 hours of Le Mans races. It's actually the French flag.

Yeah Iwas wondering if they took that fromm the real race :)
And yes I know that is the french flag :dopey:
