I'm really struggling with the Sauber. It just will not stop oversteering at low speed no matter what I change in the setup.

Note that I am literally tip-toeing this round these laps and it feels like its going to go on almost every turn.

This isn't normal right? Bug or just me?

There are some cars that have a bug with their rear tires. I'm not sure if the Sauber has that issue or not. I would post this in the official forums so you get more visibility.

That happened to me a few times. Some settings of the previous car I drove would be applied to the one I was driving next. It was madness. Try to reset the game and see if it changes anything. With me it fixed the issue.

Thanks. I have posted this over there too.

I just tried taking the Jag xjr-9 out in a custom race weekend on the same track, same weather, time of day etc. I set the ai to 85% and put my car .6 ahead on pole on my first flying lap. That car drives as I would have expected. There is definitely something wrong with the sauber.

I didn´t have those issues with the sauber i have to say. Another dependant factor is whether you drive the low downforce lm or the high downforce regular c9. Noboby ever said a 720bhp, twinturbo, 80s racecar would be easy to drive. I remember Jochen Mass, the Sauber c9 le mans winner 1989 saying in an interview that the sauber were twitchy and dangerous before they were up to temperature.

I think the way to get it round smoothly is not to Change too far down (rather stay in third rather than Change down to second, the car has enough torque to make up for it most times) and being easy on the throttle as Long as you are still turning. Another tip would be to check the boost. éverything over 85% can be hairy.
Edit: Tyre choice is all important. Use soft Slicks for a start if you don´t already.

I for example got the Impression the C9 has got much more grip even in the first lap than the xjr9 or the 962, which is odd because in assetto Corsa, the sauber and Porsche are the other way around. . I had ffb on raw, intensity on 80, Driver aids to authentic, Manual gearbox and i own a g29.

Thanks for the comment and I appreciate the effort but I've proven this is a bug.
If I fully reset the car setup it sticks to the road.
If I then go back into the setup (without making changes) the car is then screwed up again and needs another reset.
When the car is working it's a fantastic drive but when this bug hits it literally feels like it's on ice even with the tyres fully up to temp.

Ok, then I´m sorry for you, mate. I hope my PS4 leaves the sauber alone. I´ll let you know if I Encounter the same! For now, good luck in taming the beast, it´s so worth it.

Thanks.
I managed to do the first career race with it last night. I got pole but made a mistake in the race and got 3rd.
Not bad with Ai on 85% and the boost defaulting to 50%. I just couldn't match the front runners down the straight.

Good one!
on my first le mans race (1,5 hours, 24 laps, time shift 15x) with it qualified on pole but then only managed to get to 8th because of a few spins which were clearly my fault.

It isn't an easy car to drive and the moment you get complacent it bites you in the arse.
Definitely a car you need to keep a firm hand on. Driven well it is a rewarding experience.

Patch 2.0 is not too far away, fingers crossed the setup issue is fixed and I can set it up properly.

I notice that oversteer with audi r8 gt3 yesterday in Monza in Lesmos and Parabolica
Every lap the same
I think this is a bug
Some cars at low speed have this oversteer
Need to be fixed

That's me in the formula "c" career. I had to leave my career all together and go into the Ginetta races because the car was on ice. I totally dominated the formula rookie class with less grip, no downforce and an AI of 85. Then I go into Formula "c" which should have more grip because of the larger tires and the added downforce of the wings but NOPE! The car would spin at 30MPH with 1/4 throttle input. I even dropped the AI to 50 and I still couldn't compete, the entire field was racing with full grip and I was in the rear on spin cycle. There's definitely a tire bug.

I'm beginning to think it's not the cars that have the bug but the car setups are getting corrupted.

Try a setup "reset to default" and then take the cars out without touching the setup again. Let us know how that goes.
