Save exploit??

Stuck at work with a question... If I take my save with a car a buddy of mine lent me, save it to my EX HD, give the car back, then replace that save with my recent backup - would I still have his car?? Anyone tried this yet? Come on 5 o'clock, I got some messing to do!
