I need some help please. When I try to save tunes, I get message ....Save file corrupt, Go to dashboard and delete. Could someone explain in step by step this procedure. Why is this happening?

Also...When at the starting line the telementry/rpm gauge shows I am in first gear. When the race starts it jumps into second and I have to downshift to first. I am in the manual tranny mode(paddles) WTH? Thank you, I appreciate the Forums patience and help.
 
Have you installed the second disc to your xbox?

Also which wheel are you using? I know that with my Fanatec I leave my 6+1 shifter plugged in, even if I'm just using the paddles, I must have the shifter in the 1st gear position when the race starts.

I have also not installed my Disc 1 disc. I don't know if that would make a difference or not.

Yes.,both discs installed. I thought I was suppose to install Disc one. What is the point of it then? Using Fanatec CSR Elite.....see my signature please.

Ahh...I think you have it with the shifter deal, because I have had it start in other gears. I bet for sure thats it. Will check tonight. Thanks . ;) I posted this about a week ago with no results. Good call!
 
Yea the Disc 1 install is optional, but I made sure that Disc 2 was installed first through the game and not on the dashboard. You could also try clearing the memory cache on the hard drive if you continue to have saving problems.

Yea it took me a while to figure out why I was dropping into neutral at the start of every race ;)

Also enjoy the Elite 👍 Hope everything works good for you.

I think this will fix it.....

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/4869282.aspx Yea the Elite is really a step up from my GT2. Still has some deadzone in the middle, that they are soon to release a firmware fix. The wheel is at it's best with F1 2011, a total different game. It glides thru corners with precision and much less physical input. It's almost cheat'n. ;)
 
Forza also has some preset deadzone that you can reduce. Go to the Career area and select "My Profile" go to controller settings and go Advanced, I just checked mine and the default deadzone on the inside axis is 3% on my console, just put it to 0%
