Evening all,

I suffered the fear of all GTplanet users a few days back; my PS3 died :grumpy: Well specifically i believe the GPU has failed, whilst playing GT5.

I was playing for a couple of hours when suddenly some of the textures in the game were flashing/ glitching, i then decided to switch off my console.
After switching on my console the next day no picture was displayed on my TV.

However the console does switch on and i can hear the clicking as i flick through the menus ( blind) and i have been able to find my way to play an mp3!

Back onto topic though, as i can scroll through the menu's would someone be able to guide me to the facility to save my savegame data onto a usb stick?

I know this is a rather tall order, and perhaps wont work possibly due to different software updates but would someone be able to tell me the number of right/up/x/ etc clicks i would need to do this?

I would be extremley grateful to recover my garage back!

P.S

As far as i'm aware i have the latest software update on my PS3, which is a "Slim" version, owned for 13 months.

Thanks for reading.

Go to the game menu and go three steps up and you'll see the Saved Data Utility (PS3)
find your GT5 save and press /\ and hit copy.
Then you'll be asked to where you want to save it (It shows users and external devices)
Just select the Memory Stick USB and it will copy it to it.

It will save the save file in X:\PS3\SAVEDATA\blablabla-GAME

Thanks Ecchi-BANZAII, but i can't see the image on my TV from my PS3!

Turn PS3 on, if it normally logs you in automatically then good... move left twice, up twice, hit x, then scroll down to save (it depends on how many saves you have on your console) for example if i was to unplug my hdmi cable, i would scroll down three times because the list is in alphabetical order. It will be a case of trial and error for you... do all the above steps and when you get into your save folder scroll down once, hit x, triangle (to copy to flash drive) and then x twice... it will now be on your flash drive. plug flash drive into pc. check to see if its gt5 save... if it's not do all the same steps, except this time scroll down twice... i hope this helps you out
