save game in a cup

Hi, I can do this in GT3 but can't do it in gt4.

I can save the game in the midle of a cup but I can't load it...is there a way

This has worked for me many times.

Hmm...

Ok, do the races you want. Then Save at the next race screen. If it doesn't allow you too, exit the championship, but make sure you don't quit it. Make sure you can come back later. If done right, at the top right, it will say what Championship you are in.

Go to Home Garage. Then go to save. Save, of course, and then shut the PS2 off. It should work fine.

1:Exit Championship
2:When it asks if you wish to quit, say NO
3:Go To Home
4:Save game there.

it couldnt be any easier what do you want it to do, save in the middle of a race and un-numb your butt for you? 👎

I also keep my "save game in a cup". They are gold with GT1, 2, 3 and 4 marked accordingly.
I won my cups by being the Best GT player where I live.
I put my memory cards with my GT saves into the cups when I am not playing for safe keeping.

Oh, you did not mean that at all. Silly me.
I see, you want to know how to save half way through a series event.
I explained that yesterday to someone else. Shouldn't be to hard to find if you look.
There is a search engine you know. It is very helpful. I was yesterday to someone asking the exact same thing, but the very helpful McLaren F1GTR beat me to it today .

I think the real question here is not how to save the game in the middle of a championship, but how you can load it without restarting the PS2. In GT3 I used to "cheat" sometimes by saving after each race I won and if I lost I would just abbandon the championship, exit GT mode and load again from the start screen. The reason for this was I wanted 100% win percentage (=all races won). Don't ask me why, it just seemed fun to me at the time.
Anyway, I have been looking for it too but I could find any place where I could load a saved game in GT4. The only way to load it is to restart the PS2 I think.
Unless somebody knows of a way to reload from within the game????

there is NO way to load a game, (as far as I can see) the only way to achieve this is to restart your ps2

I can't see the point in this. Can't you just imagine it says 100%. If you cheat to get it at 100% that number has no relavence to your driving skill. Who are you trying to impress, yourself?...
