Hi. Sorry if this has been brought up in another thread. I searched but couldnt find anything.
If i take my save game to back it up with a usb, then put it on my pc so i can use the usb for other purposes, if/when my game corrupts, can i then take that save game from my pc and re upload it to my ps3?
Also i have a seagate 1TB external hardrive. Can i use that in place of the usb and transfer it with that?
Thanx for any help, would hate to lose my progress.

Yes, you can do that anytime.

i tried it with the external hard drive but the ps3 would not recognise it.
i backed up the save data which was 900 odd kb, but the game data utility if like 11gb so my usb is not big enough. if my game corrupts will the save data be all i need to restore it?

You only need to back up the save data, the game data can be reinstalled.

You need to change the format of the external hard drive from NTSC to FAT32.

If your save game on your PS3 is corrupted, just transfer the save game from the external hard drive to your usb and then to your PS3. No need to reformat your external hard drive.
