My fat PS3 has been having issues and recently got the RLOD. I intend on fixing it as I fixed my other fat. Matter at hand...got tired of the RLOD/YLOD and heard the slims were not quite as prone...so I bought one.
I had backed up all my games before the recent kill over, including GT5. I installed all the updates and the game data onto the new PS3. Everything went well except for a few things with the garage. When I go into the garage, 50% of the cars do not have a picture unless you actually click on the tab were all exterior mods are visible and correct. 25% of the cars have a picture but do not reflect exterior mods correctly(they are stock) again until you click on the tab. Then, the last 25% are correct in every way. All specs and performance mods are correct as far as I can tell.
Has anyone had this issue? The only way I can make it reflect correctly is to "get in" the car, and then take it to gt auto and paint it. Or take it and put a body kit, wing, or carbon hood on. Once you get the "UPDATING CAR" loading bar all exterior mods, paint, rims, etc will then reflect the actual car correctly in the garage tabs. I can do this but it will take a VERY long time and a lot of credits. I have a lot of cars. Anyone with info on this or ways to make it easier would be appreciated. btw, yes...I did delete the saved game and recopy my saved game via thumb drive many times. The game was fine before I copied my saved data.
