Saving G27 Settings on GT5

Did quick search of forum for answers - not found
When I set the buttons and features on my new G27 all goes well until i shut down system. When I return to the game the next day all my settings are back to default.
Is there a way to get GT5 to retain the settings for the wheel the way it does for a controller?

Try setting them again and ensuring that you exit the setup page properly. Mine saved it's setting for the passed 6 months with no problems whatsoever.

After setting them be sure to click on the OK, plus if your having problems with them being keep after you exit go to the save icon and hit save. Not sure if the new (backup save) might be changing anything? Mine's stayed the same since I bought the game except when I move my E-brake/reverse around I sometimes use the hand shifter for these (G25 wheel).
