My son is content on playing GT5 but i dont want him ruining my winning streak or sellin my cars etc (mean i know but i dont care lol :P ) i want to save my game and make a new account for him and load my game on there (so he has cars already and can sell and buy what he wants then) my question is, will any usb memory stick do or is it specific to ps3?? cheers

Copy your game data onto any memory stick or card. Make a new PS3 user thing. Then copy your save data from the memory stick into your sons new PS3 user ummmm thing. Pop GT5 in. Should have your data.

sweet, will any usb stick do?? or is it specific for the play station??

Any USB is fine, as long as the format is FAT32 so the PS3 can detect it.

okey dokey will check what mine says, thanks for swift reply guys

You don't even need a flash drive to copy the save game to another account on the same PS3 - when copying data using the Saved Data Utility you can select another account as the destination. Unfortunately, you cannot use a GT5 save game on a different account than the one that created it.

Yup, you can't really just copy your save data onto his account and have him be able to use all your cars. What you CAN do, however, is send him cars at the rate of one per day. Set him up his own account (or sub-account) and then send him a car every day to try out. He can send them back when he's done.

If you really want, you can save YOUR data on a jumpdrive, send him a car, then reload your data and still have your car while he has it as well. Anymore, though, I just send cars to friends and don't really worry about what happens to them from there...

False, you can't do it cross accounts, it won't let you. Saves are binded to your user.
