i did take that shot myself, for a past scenery comp entry, but i used a different shot instead

yours is slightly different, but there are a lot of similarities. now i'm not mad or anything, but good artists usually find their own way. but it's all good though.
great minds think alike but i'd rather see something different.

To be honest, I don't see what's so special about jgda9rs's shot. It's just a bunch of track barriers with Tskuba on them and some black around the edge. I like the one he posted just now a lot better.

Honestly, jgda9rs should have got my vote, now that I think about it. The theme is "Abstract", and a pic like that fills it completely.

to each their own. that's the mystery of abstract. the other entries have failed in that theme miserably. but thanks for the compliment
on my old work. someonelse used a variation of it, you should have voted for it.

and no, you're not harsh at all. i mean, abstract is not for everyone. if you can't see anythingelse that makes it work, then that's abstract. it's not supposed to render anything clear. like where the mist is coming from, what's behind the barriers ? or what's so special about them. so i guess i did a good job an easy one too. thanks for all who voted

omg jgda... im sure everyone has taken every shot possible in the game now, youve commented quite a few times about people taking similar shots to you and im sure theyre not going through your thread and looking at which shots they can copy on purpose.. when it comes to scenery their isnt much that can be done and some good shots are going to be repeated..
plus your shot isnt the same as that one posted for the comp...

Only one of these entries truly fitted the theme in the end. Which was a shame.

well then maybe you should try and get people to try different things,
instead of just thinking that nothing else could be done with the
medium of gt4 photomode. there's really no excuse, i mean look at my
entry. and yes, the entry from speedemon is very similar to mine. except
his looks like the lower exposure version of the one i posted here. i can go
on and on about this, and i can't help but notice. perhaps if you have one
of your works copied, you'd feel the same way.
