it's to debut January 5.

Torrance, California - Scion, the youth-oriented car brand started by Toyota in the United States, will introduce the new Scion tC sports coupe at a press conference at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, on Monday, January 5th.

Sales of the tC, designed specifically for the U.S. market, will begin in June 2004 and will coincide with the national launch of the Scion brand.

they have the cube version as well. I guess its a good car for new drivers, I wouldn't drive one though, way to small

Size of a Rav4 with twice as much room inside... Works for me! 👍

Let's get the cruise on! Bump it! Woot Woot!

I don't get it - why doesn't Toyota just re-badge the MR2, Celica, and Matrix as Scion models? It would save a hell of a lot in R&D.

I already like the Scions, especially the Xb. those cars are in the practicallity bunch. But the car above resembles me of a Toyota Avensis [EU]. But what the hell, I see a bright future for the Scion.

Because the Scions (aside from this new one) are nothing but rebadged Japanese models, the xA being the Ist, and the xB Being the bB (black Box)

Odd, how this scion actually looks really good, while the bB Scion is just simply a disgrace to all cars in terms of styling, I mean how hard is it to design A BOX???? But I wouldn't mind buying a tC, depending on it's performance, fuel economy, etc.

I find the Xb to be completely horrible. It's only 108hp moving something with the aerodynamics of 2 bricks ontop of eachother, and it's not a light vehicle.

Bah, Toyota, always going for that youth market that doesn't really buy Toyotas except old Camrys and Corollas.

Actually, Id be willing to bet that it isnt the youth market that buys those camrys and corollas....it's their parents.

However, I know several youth who bought, for themselves, the new Corolla S. I surely wouldnt mind driving it. It isnt all that fast, but it looks quite decent to me.

Actually, that isn't an answer to my question. They could do both.

Used Camrys, as MazKid said, are perfect high-school or college-kid cars and are popular with that bunch.
