Scion... The new Toyota's marketing operation on american soil. I'm european and I think this cars wouldn't be selled here. Personaly, I don't like their look, but it seems they have good qualities. What do you, americans, think of this cars?

I think it's sort of funny - they won't be coming anywhere near my area in several years, though they're already out in California (CA -> Southeast -> New England -> Whole country).

I assume this is just going to be a 'I think they're ugly and I would never buy one because I'm a poser' thread, though. I think Toyota's got the right idea by trying to appeal to younger audiences.

I already saw 5 xA's and 7 xB's on the roads here in California.

The car looks nice and practical IMO because it looks like it has a lot of room for transportation for its size. There was an article in Autoweek that talked about a Scion xB made into a limo. lol, good idea, but is it practical?

i think its a nice looking car, both of them are OK, there not POS's for that much money there nice :)
10-12g's?

I think they're functionally good vehicles... high quality, lots of room stuffed in a small package and what not. And the xA doesn't look too shabby-- in fact, we were behind one today, and the rear looked remarkably like a Mini Cooper (albeit with large tail lights), the front looks okay, and the sides are semi-aggresive. The xB is a bit too squareish for my tastes, and the wheel-to-body ratio looks really odd.

While they're very good vehicles, I think it'll have a bit of limited appeal in the younger market (notice that I say "limited", not "none"... the first time I saw an xB, a teen was driving it), because let's face it-- kids these days want modded Civics, old Mustangs, or big trucks. They'll sell among Gen Y, but I don't think as much as they'd like.
