Hey GTP!

First of all, if this is the wrong section I'll move it.

Ok, so
Some of my friends and I are planning a 2 week driving holiday at around this time next year and I was wondering if anyone new of any really good driving roads in France and Italy?
A few of us will be leaving from Scotland and meeting a few others around the London area. We will only spend a day or so within Britain the rest will be in France, Monte Carlo for a week and then down to Marenello in Italy. So I ask you, does anyone know of somewhere we could 'drive' our cars!?
If this matters the cars in attendance will be;
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
SLS AMG
Either an Enzo or MP4-12C
Ferrari California
Lamborghini Murciealago LP640 Spyder
And the slight possiblity of a Zonda :-D
Cheers

Nobody got any ideas???

No. But I can tell you petrol in Italy is E1.80 per litre.

Damn! I'd heard it was expensive!

I expect if you go in a years time you could well be paying more than that what with the way fuel prices go up!

May be a bit too far North in Italy to be do-able, but the Stelvio Pass is phenomenal!

I guess you could always make that a part of your way home.

Oh well, if we need to pay it we need to pay it! :grumpy:

That looks great! We did contemplate going via the Swiss Alps so we could maybe get there at some point!

Actually, almost every major company is holding sales on weekends, with petrol going down to 1.55-1.6€/lt., and diesel down to 1.45-1.5€/lt, not to mention the so-called "independent" stations, which may offer further discounts.
Just as an advice, here are a couple of links (italian only, sorry):
ENI (state company) station finder
Q8 station finder.
Be advised that these discounts are NOT applied at manned pumps, only at self-service ones (cash+major credit cards accepted).

And, by the way, try to avoid refueling in Marche and Tuscany, as they have the highest amount of regional taxes on petrol&diesel.

When owning cars like this...

No. But I can tell you petrol in Italy is E1.80 per litre.

Would that really be an issue?

Thanks, that could be a possibility. It is looking quite costly at the moment; hotels in Monaco aren't that cheap for a week! So TAX free sounds quite good!

Just a thought. If those are the cars you are going to bring why so much worry about prices since surely you have quite a bit of money to get the cars in the first place no?

People don't get wealthy enough to buy nice things without taking care of everything they spend...

True.

Anyway hope you enjoy the trip. Based on your planned stops it should be great. Also on the way back going through Switzerland would be quite good. They have strict road laws if I am not mistaken but great scenery.

And...

Can I come? :p

I suspect they may be hiring them out, rather than buying them outright.
Not hiring. We have the Superpeggera, our friends own the rest however one of our friends owns multiple millions worth of cars; Enzo, MP4, F40, 250 GT California, GTR SpecV, Gallardo and a couple of Rangie's! The possiblity of the Zonda is only because he is not sure wither to come or not yet.

Monaco is super-expensive! We day tripped there, but didn't stay over. :)

I live Northern Italy, 20-30 miles from Milan.

I ride a Motorcycle and am out often in the mountains so could show you and your friends a stack of nice roads. It would be a pleasure for me. Drop me a PM.

These were only taken a few weeks ago, and is 30 min from my door.
