Screen Goes Black

Has anyone else experienced this? Lately I’ve seen on the menu screen, the music stops and the screen goes black for several seconds and then returns. This also happened one time during a race. As you can imagine, it caused problems not only for me but for other racers.
 
Yes I have had the screen go black for a couple seconds repeatedly, fixed it by going to PS menu and back into the game. I initially unplugged the HDMI and plugged it back in thinking it fixed it but doesn't. I'm suspecting it might be a memory leak issue with GTS or something.
