Scalded Dog Racing Presents: NATIONS CUP
(Start date approx mid july / early august 2002)
Hi, many of you in Australia who are motorsport fans like me probably know about Nations Cup production car racing.
Well I've been putting my thoughts together and came up with 12 cars from 3 different continents that are tuned to be equal in lap times and performance. These cars are only mildly tuned with horsepower and weight reductions to get them on par with some of the quicker stock cars.
(Start date approx mid july / early august 2002)
Tyres will be T8's for all cars, and there are no suspensions to be tuned or gear ratios to be fiddled with. Basically you pick a car at the start of the series, and race your butt off trying to winraces Vs AI.
Of course there are going to be issues with all cars being competitive and i'm working with my SDR team members to get the cars within 0.1 or closer to each other. Just to make sure, there will be a pre season test run, to allow the admin to fine tune cars with slower lap times.
+++++ RULES +++++
Rules are posted on SDR Website.
With the inclusion of: NO ASM or TCS all cars must be set to 0 on both of these settings.
If your car has downforce, you may adjust it (some cars have adjustable rear wings)

eg
SDR 1 (HR186S, Boomerlab)
SDR 2 (Skidmark, Brickman)
The team championship will be run in the following format.
Each driver will race all 7 rounds and compete in the drivers championship. EDIT At the end of each round admin will add together the time, (sort of like swapping drivers mid point in the race) to get a team total time. Points will be awarded to the team with the fastest time also.
I have also been tossing round ideas about teams and drivers home circuits..... Each team / driver will be able to pick a circuit as their "home" track (must be in the same group as where the manufacturer originates.) where upon racing the team / driver will gather double points or bonus points for themselves and their team.
Post here to air any comments or suggestions.
